TW: Mentions of wanting to die (tho we know we love Wild Strawberry so much that we ain't gonna let that happen)

——————

"W-Wild?" Gingershy called her name. He was looking for her as he hasn't seen her all day.
Then he heard a quiet sniffle in the distance.
It came from the forest, so giving himself courage, he went through the green trees and followed the small sniffles.
Then, he saw Wild Strawberry Cookie. Laying on a nearby tree, she looked like she was crying for a long time. It's weird though, Shy thought Wild couldn't cry.
"Wild?" Gingershy said her name softly and she turned to him, then quickly looked away from him.
"Go away idiot." She spat.
"N-No, I don't wanna l-leave you here w-when you're crying." Shy hid his face more into his soft and warm scarf. Wild Strawberry growled under her breath, why did he bother to care about her anyway?
Though the thought of someone actually caring about her was nice, so she let it slide.
"What h-happened?"
"Not telling you."
"W-Why not?"
"Because." She wiped her tears, letting her legs curl to her chest. Resting her chin on her knees.
She felt Gingershy sit next to her, their backs touching. This gave Wild Strawberry Cookie a weird feeling.
Being touch-starved was annoying, whenever someone touches her, she gets a jolt or shivers to it.
Wild's tears came again but she kept quiet.
"I just...miss my mother..." Her voice cracked, and Gingershy looked at her with worry. "She's...the only one who cared about me..." Wild Strawberry wiped her tears, though more came down. Soaking some part of her hoodie. "And now that she's dead—I became this....monster...."
"Wild-"
"My mother wouldn't have wanted this!" Wild screamed to herself, grabbing the strings of her hood and clutching onto them tightly. "She wouldn't want a child like me, why did she care about me?! Why did she love me?! Twizzly made me this vile and monster of a cookie, I am not like those other cookies who've had a better life than me!"
"Wild Strawberry, pl-please-"
"Maybe I should just die!"
"Wild!" Gingershy exclaimed, then hiding himself more in his scarf. Wild Strawberry Cookie looked at him, her tears still running down her face like streams of water.
"S-Sorry..." He mumbled. "Y-You're overt-thinking..."
"I'm not you idiot." She tried to look angry, though her face saddened more.
"D-Do you need a h-h-hug?" Shy asked. Wild looked at him wide-eyed.
"Me? Hug?" She questioned, Shy nodded. Then, quietly she pondered...
"How do you hug?"
Gingershy felt sympathy for the brave and mean cookie. She doesn't know how to hug? That's just painful.
"I knew how to hug once....but my mother only did it." She whispered. Her tears stopped but she looked as if she wanted to let it all out. But she couldn't. Because the brave shouldn't cry, that's what cookies have told her.
Gingershy made a semicircle with his arms, Wild Strawberry looked at him confused.
"J-Just come to me a-and wrap your arms around my waist. Y-You're head can rest o-on my neck..." He instructed. Though he was quiet, Wild understood. She moved slowly and hesitantly toward him, though managed to circle her arms around his waist. Gingershy closed his arms around her body and Wild Strawberry gasped. That was a new feeling. It reminded her of so much now, reminding her of her mom. Why hasn't she done this before?
"Sh-Shy..." She stuttered for the first time probably. "Your warmth...reminds me of my mother..." Wild Strawberry Cookie started to cry again.
"Shh..." He only said. "C-Calm down..."
"Are the brave....supposed to cry? Even the most crooked misfit out there?" She asked softly to Gingershy.
"E-Even those brave will still cry..." He whispered. His head turned to Wild Strawberry's and gently kissed her neck, making her gasp softly. The touch was what she needed, and she wanted all of Gingershy.
"I love you Shy." Wild confessed out of nowhere, Gingershy's head perked up to the admission.
"I-I love you too...Wild Strawberry Cookie." He pulled her head away from the crook of his neck and gave a gentle kiss to her lips. Wild didn't know much about kissing, nor did she know how to do it, but all she knew was that they kissed there and stayed hugging in that position until they both calmed down and were ready to go home.
