Bruce was standing on the balcony watching the last rays of the Sun. Loud and angry voices in the street below distracted his attention.
He ran down the stairs to see what had happened, as he started to go down the voices grew louder and his curiosity increased. To his surprise when he reached down the voices were nothing but the audio from his television. He thought that maybe his father had switched it on and later forgot to switch off. So, he sighed, then switched it off and went back to his room as he had some work left.
As soon as he went to his room, the tv switched on again but he knew that this time it was not his dad because he just switched it off 10 seconds ago, so he went down again to see what was really happening, when he reached to the tv, he didn't see anyone, in fact the remote wasn't there either, so someone was starting manually, but there was no one there. This time he didn't just switch it off, he even removed the power cable so no one could switch it on again.
He then proceeded to go to his room, but this time as he climbed on the first step, the tv started again without any power supply. He got a little scared so he slowly began to go towards the tv, when he saw the screen of the tv it said, "You will never be able to turn me off, I have lived here forever and I will continue living here." Seeing this he got really terrified and broke the screen of the tv, but that released something and he fainted on the floor.
After a few hours his dad came home and saw him like this, he sprayed some water on his face and woke him up. When the dad asked him what had happened, he could not remember anything and now even the power cable of tv was put back and even the remote had appeared back and even the screen of tv was as good as new. This all made him thought it was just a bad nightmare. So he started going back to his room, and this time his dad turned on the tv, still he got scared and looked back, the only thing he could see was a smile on the back of his dad's head.
After this he never left his room, his dad was concerned and contacted many doctors and professionals to see if anything can be done, but all they could do was perform some tests and all his results would appear normal. Even the therapists and psychiatrists did not find anything wrong with his mind. How would any of them know, Bruce himself could not remember everything he saw and any of them could not possibly seem to understand him even if he tried to explain what had happened. A few weeks later, when all the hopes were crushed and Bruce was almost a living corpse, his dad would daily go to his room, feed him and take care of his alive dead child in the long term ray of him getting better, but nothing seemed to change. One day while his dad was cooking, Bruce was in his room, his dad was about to go feed him when he heard a big cry. He went running to Bruce's room, just to find his son not in his bed. He searched in the bathroom but he wasn't there, a boy who had not moved in weeks had disappeared from his room, then suddenly he heard noises on the street outside. He went to the balcony to find that his son lied dead on the road, crushed by what seemed a heavy vehicle, and blood splattered all over. He rushed down, when he reached there, he saw that Bruce's blood that covered the spot was all black and not red and even his bones were all gooey. He then went to the vehicle that seemed to have hit him only to find out that it was his own car.
He could not believe anything that was happening and he just fell down and started sobbing near the dead body of his son. The authorites arrived soon and after cleaning up the area they searched the car for any signs of forced entry or anything like that. To everyone's shock the car had not been stolen and the fingerprints inside the car matched with that of his dad. So under the lack of witnesses and force of evidences his dad was arrested for the murder of his own son. And shortly after being in prison he killed himself. When his body was recovered, there was a smiley face drawn on the wall of the prison cell, and the caption said "I have lived here forever and I will continue living here."
