Rage.

Betrayal.

Sorrow.

Devastation.

Jia couldn't understand. She couldn't at all.

Her eyes filled with intense emotions were fixed on Namjoon, who was seated at the edge of the bed to which she was tied by her wrists with a pair of handcuffs, also sitting but on the other end of the bed, not far from him.

While Hoseok stood with his arms folded and his back against the door jamb, his guilty gaze elsewhere.

"Was it fun? Playing with us?" her hoarse, broken voice shattered Hoseok's consciousness more and pierced Namjoon's heart like a dagger.

"I'm sorry..." Namjoon spoke with a soft voice and sad eyes, moving closer to her. "But I had to do it." He brought a hand up to caress her face, "They were trying to-"

"Take me away from you?" she smiled sadly and his hand stopped in mid-air. "Don't make me laugh, please. They... " She gulped, "They were my beloved friends." Namjoon's arm dropped. "I've known them since my college days. And... And they helped me get out of my drug addiction." Jia blinked, her eyes glassy, "You killed my life..."

Namjoon clenched his jaw and fist, eyes brimming with jealousy and envy.

He did all this for her.

For them.

And this was her gratitude?! Why?! He loved her so fucking much! How could she?!

Desperation.

His dark and domineering aura startled Jia and Hoseok stared at them blankly.

It was disturbing how different a person could be from what they showed off, especially in these cases.

Suddenly his demeanor changed: his hands and lips trembled, his breathing was slightly short, his eyes filled with longing, twisted love, submission.

"I... I can be your new life. Your new strength, power. I-I'll quit drugs, too." he moved his hand to touch his chest, palm flat against himself. "I love you so much I would do anything for you."

"Except let me go." silence filled the air. "I don't understand." She looked up at her friend. "I trusted you, Hoseok. But you hurt me... like it was nothing."

The said man opened his mouth to speak, but Namjoon did it first.

"He couldn't help you." he smiled slightly. "He was helping his brother get the love of his life."

Jia froze, shocked, "What...? Brother?"

"Half-brother. He's my mother's son with her second husband. However... " he poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, "let's just say that she was not a great role model for a mother, like our fathers."

Memories of when they lived with their mother resurfaced after his explanation.

She cheated on Namjoon's father and Hoseok was the result of that sin.

Namjoon didn't blame him, though.

He was not the sinner, but his mother was.

Then the punishments for every single stupid excuse she could find, screams, lack of love, affection.

Their fathers didn't do anything to stop her psychological and physical abuse, they didn't care.

A good reason to get rid of them.

They were not that important anyway.

Namjoon and Hoseok were the only ones who were a true family: inseparable, reliable.

"That does not justify what you guys did."

Namjoon leaned closer and caressed her cheek tenderly, spreading his lips into a devious smile and Jia shivered.

"Obviously not. For the simple reason that I did it for you."

And he pressed his lips on hers. He nipped at her lip while brushing his hands across her cheeks and that made Jia open slightly her mouth with surprise. Namjoon then swept his tongue between her lips, tangling and tinkling his tongue with hers and moaned softly.

Jis pulled away, turning her head to one side, disgusted.

Namjoon smiled with a content sigh as Hoseok opened his eyes again, which he had kept closed since seeing his brother kiss her.

"Everything will be ok. You just have to do as I say and you will have the freedom to go anywhere."

She hissed when she felt something prick her neck. And soon after, she realized what it was: a syringe between Namjoon's fingers.

She hadn't seen it. How the hell had she not seen it?!

Her yes began to get heavy, body numb and vision blurred.

"I'm sorry, baby. But I don't want to risk losing you," his voice was muffled. "Sleep well, love. We will go far away from this country. Where no one can find us."

She knew her life was doomed. She was now in the hands of a problematic druggie.

A psychopath.

And everything went black, eyes closed and body falling onto Namjoon.

The latter looked at his brother, "Set up new identities. We are leaving."

After a few days, they were on the news as missing persons.
