"Oh my goodness Zenitsu!" I scolded, grabbing his kimono and pulling him back towards me. "WHAAAT!? I DON'T WANNA DO THIS ANYMORE BASHIRO!" He whined, grabbing onto the coat part of my outfit.

"I told you that being a demon slayer wasn't going to be a walk in the park!" I argued back, pushing him off of me. "BASHIRO DON'T MAKE ME DO THIS ANYMOoOoRe!"

I groaned and started walking off, "DON'T LEAVE ME!" He screamed, chasing after me. We both stopped in our tracks noticing a girl up ahead. Panic overtook my limbs, "Zenit-" I was too late, he was already down on his knees in front of her, begging for her to marry him.

I screamed out of embarrassment and ran forward, trying to pry him off of the poor girl. "ZENITSU STOP IT!" I shouted, tugging at his shoulders.

"What are you two doing in the middle of the road!?" A voice sounded from behind us, startling me a bit.

I turned around to face a boy that I remembered from the selection. I felt overwhelming embarrassment, why did my brother have to be such a lovesick idiot!?

I opened my mouth to explain myself, before the boy opened his mouth again. "You," he pointed at my brother, "Can't you see she wants nothing to do with you? And don't go making trouble for your sparrow either!!"

I had hardly realized how much his sparrow was distressed. I felt so bad for the poor thing. At least my sparrow was relaxing on my shoulder, which I remembered when little Pochi nuzzled his head into my neck.

The boy was now directing his attention at me, "Do you know him?" He asked, pointing at the blonde crybaby who was my brother. I nodded solemnly, "Yes..he's my brother.." I muttered, hardly loud enough for him to hear.

"Does he always act like this..?" He seemed concerned for my sanity now. "Yes, he always has." I stated, crossing my arms in annoyance.

"Hey! You're that guy from final selection!" I directed my attention back to my brother. "I don't know anyone like you! I don't know you!" The boy's voice was raising up now. "We met! Remember!?"

I rolled my eyes at my brother and directed my attention back to the girl, "You're fine to go now, I'm sorry for his actions." I apologized, giving her a kind smile. "It's fine, and thank you." She looked at the boy from the selection.

"HEY! SHE'S GOING TO MARRY ME!" I slightly wanted to throw Zenitsu into a lake at this point. I didn't need to do anything though, because the girl was yanking his hair and going on about how she had a fiancé before leaving us there.

Zenitsu was shouting pleas after the girl, which I had finally reached my limit of annoyance with him. "ZENITSU! STOP IT YOU'RE SCARING YOUR SPARROW AND YOU CAUSED AN UNWANTED SCENE!" I scolded, putting my hand on my hips.

"I'm going to die soon anyways!! Just watch, on our next job I'm going to die!" I rolled my eyes, he was being so dramatic. "You both have to protect me until I can get married!" He whimpered, tears falling down his cheeks.

I directed my attention to the boy, "I didn't introduce myself, I'm Bashiro Agatsuma and that's Zenitsu Agatsuma." I held out my hand for him to shake. "Tanjiro Kamado." He shook my hand.

We walked along side Tanjiro, waiting for Zenitsu to calm down from his little pity party. Once his sniffles had died down, it was safe for us to speak. "Are you feeling better?" Tanjiro asked, directing his attention to my brother.

"Better, but now I'm hungry." I scoffed slightly, crossing my arms. "You're always hungry." I teased, putting my arm around his shoulder. "Did you two bring food with you?" Tanjiro asked.

"I did." I said, pulling the bag I had on my back off of my shoulders before handing Zenitsu a small ration bar which he gratefully accepted. "Would you like one?" I asked, offering one to Tanjiro.
