Chapter One

{Melanie Fox}

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

I opened my eyes widely as I checked my clock. "Oh no," I muttered. It was 8:57 and Jack was going to leave at 9. I quickly put on some slippers and went out of my dorm, despite the fact that my rommate, Lena, was still sleeping.

I got in the elevator and went to Jack's floor. When I finally got on the level, I ran right away without thinking that I bumped to someone none other than Jack.

"Jack! Thank goodness you're still here." I breath heavily.

"Of course I'm still here. I wouldn't want to leave my girl without saying goodbye now wouldn't I?" He says as he pulls me into a hug.

"Yeah, you wouldn't." I hummed against his shoulder.

He pulls away before taking both of my cheeks. "Melanie, are you sure you still want to be with me? I mean, we would have less time together, the paparazzi is crazy and rumors can happen. I just don't want you to get hurt."

"Hurt is a word that I shouldn't be afraid of because everyone experiences it. I may be hurt Jack but I'm sure you know how fast I can get up." I replied.

"This is why I love you." He places his lips against mine. We went slow but it started to get agressive so I pulled away.

"I love you too." I sigh.

He gives me a peck on the forehead before he pulls me inside the elevator going down. As I expected, paparazzi were outside. A limo was waiting for Jack.

"I'll see you soon babe." He says before giving me one last hug and going outside to be greeted by fans and reporters. I wonder when will that soon be.

{Jack Griffo}

She was making it hard for me to leave. As soon as I was greeted by the cameras and people, I already missed her. I wanted to run back inside and tell her I was going to stay but I couldn't. I couldn't let down my fans. But Melanie was worth thousands of fans. Maybe even more.

I tried to give a smile to the fans who were screaming my name. Reporters were trying to ask me some questions although my bodyguard, Felix, wouldn't let me answer them.

I got inside the limo, still feeling a little gloomy.

"Good morning Jack!" My limo driver, Eddy, grinned at me.

"Morning Eddy." I replied, trying to supress a good smile. Eddy was a good guy. Always there for me. Especially for food emergency.

After leaving the blocking to the police, Felix went inside. "Welcome back, Jack. Hope you had fun with your freedom."

"Don't talk as if I'm in prison, Felix." I rolled my eyes. "It was my decision after all."

"That's true. But Jack, I have known you for a long time and you're the type of person who finds it hard to say no to big oppurtunities, even if it isn't really what you want."

"But this is something I want." I replied.

"Okay, if you say so." He grins at me. It was obvious that he didn't believe me although I was telling the truth. I wanted this. But Felix knew me more than I knew myself, so I couldn't say that he was wrong.

"Are you alright?" Megan asks worriedly. She heard about it since it was reported throughout the whole world. She called me right away.

"Of course I'm not alright." I sighed.

"Then why did you let him go?"

"Because it was what he wanted! I can't let him hang onto me forever without doing what he wants to, Meg."

"He would've stayed if you told him too."

"Why would you say that?"

"He wouldn't ask for your permission if he wanted to really do it."

"Well, Jack can't take no for an answer and you know that."

"In the same way that Jack cannot say no to anyone, now can he?"

She was right. Jack was the type who easily trusted people, well except for me of course. Took him some time before he did. Thinking of it made me realize something.

"Are you saying that his management forced him to do it?" I asked.

"I didn't say that, Mel. Do not judge. You might end up hurting Jack if you confront him with what you concluded." She says.

"Right, sorry. Enough about me, I haven't seen you in a year. How have you been?"

"I'm alright. I'm actually in a middle of shooting right now-"

"Megan! Five minutes is up!" I heard someone yell.

"Coming!" She says. "Sorry Mel but I gotta go. Next time, yeah? Bye, I love you!"

"Love you-" she hung up. "-too..."

I sighed. The people I loved the most were too busy for me, especially since it was Hollywood. I thought about Jack and about what he said before he left. There were going to be rumors and paparazzi. My life is not going to be silent. Again.
