{Melanie Fox}

"You little witch!" Kiara screamed. "You have never changed, haven't you? Just like the little brat you were in high school."

"Excuse me?" I scoffed. "I'm not the one who repeated senior year."

She gasped, glaring at me. "How dare you bring that up? It's all your fault!"

"My fault?" I laughed. "I don't even know why I'm talking to you right now. I have an appointment so move."

I stepped forward, in a hurry to catch my date. But she blocked my way, crossing her arms. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Kiara, we're not in high school anymore. So please, I have a dinner to go to."

"With who? Jack?"

I look at her, my eyes widening. "What did you do?"

"Nothing much. Kiss him, maybe? Giving the paparazzi a little story to tell?" She smirked.

"Liar." I growled.

She took her phone out and showed me video. And she was right. It was her. And Jack, making out.

I balled my hands into fists. She was making me mad. She actually dares to get Jack back again. The next thing I knew, my fists made contact with her face.

[exactly 8 hours ago]

"Did you have fun?" Penny grinned. I looked at her with an are-you-kidding-me look.

"Fun? I just rode a ride that suddenly goes down in 360 degrees and you are asking me if I had fun?!"

"Come on, I'm just trying to cheer you up. I mean, at least we made memories right? Look at our pic-" she paused after looking at the photo that was shot when we rode the ride. "-ture."

"Is it that bad?" I asked, flinching slightly.

"Well, we all have those moments we just can't help you know but it happens. It's nothing to worry about anyways. It's just a photo." I grab it from her hand. I look at it. It was such a bad timing because I threw up right in front of the camera.

I sighed. "You can keep it. I have no more memories to make anyways."

Suddenly, she starts stomping away from me. Like literally stomping away from me like a 5-year-old who was really frustrated with his parents. I ran after her with confusion.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked.

"Melanie, I have always been here for you. Even when you were that evil person everyone knew in high school, I still befriended you. And up to this day, I am still by your side."

I sighed. "I'm so sorry Penny. I just can't think properly without Jack around-"

"Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack! He is all you talk about! Ever since he left, you have been talking about him all the time. Twenty-four hours, seven days a week! Jack decided this, Melanie and if you love him, you have to make sure he is happy and doing what he always wanted to do. And what is that thing he always wanted to do, you may ask? What do you think it is?"

I breathed out a little before remembering what it was. "Acting... That's-that's what he always wanted to do growing up."

"Exactly."

She was right. This was Jack's dream. To be an actor. He was passionate about acting and I couldn't get in between him and his dream. I felt terrible.

"You're right. I'm sorry, Pen. I feel like a horrible friend and girlfriend. I could break up with him!"

She gives me a confused look. "You're not getting my point. I didn't ask you break up with him. I'm just letting you know that you can't drag your life down just because Jack won't be with you in a long time."

I stay silent and so does she. We are both quiet for a second before she sighs.

"Mel, anyone can tell you anything to help you but in the end, you decide. It's your choice. And if you do decide, make sure that's what your heart says and that's what makes you, both of you, happy. I'll be taking a cab home. You can either go home and weep or think about it. It's up to you. And I hope you choose wisely." She walked towards a different direction, leaving me all alone.

Ring! Ring! I had a call from an unknown caller.

"Hello?"

"Hi is this Melanie Fox?" It was a woman's voice.

"Um, yes? Who is this speaking?"

"My name is Bianca Rodriguez, Jack's manager. He said he wants to have dinner with you tonight."

"Oh?" I muttered, confused. "Okay then."

"Alright. I'll text you the details of the restaurant and the time. Thank you."

As the call ended, I spaced out. We haven't been communicating for nearly two weeks and he asks someone else to tell me to go out to dinner with him. Wow.

I received the text sent by Bianca. Dinner was 2 hours from now. I hurriedly drove home and started getting ready. When it finally 30 minutes before dinner, I got in my car and drove towards the address of the restaurant.

It was a fancy restaurant. Expensive looking. I sigh as I parked my car and made my way towards the main entrance.

"Well, well... Look who it is."

[present]

I glared at Kiara, who was on the ground. She snapped her head towards me, her cheek starting to bruise.

"You b-"

She was interrupted when someone opened the main door. "What's going on here?"

I looked up at that person and glared. Until I realized I was looking right straight at Jack. "Jack?"

"Melanie?" His eyes widen. He then glances at Kiara. "Kiara! Are you okay?" He bends down to help her.

"I'm fine." She says.

I rolled my eyes.

"Mel, what are you doing?"

"Oh I'm sorry. Did I perhaps ruin your moment?" I snarled, shooting daggers at him.

"What? What the heck are you talking about?" He asked.

"That's enough Jack! Did you come here to break it off with me? I didn't mind at all if having me was because it would distract your career but it was all because of her?"

"No! I was just inviting her to dinner with us. You know, a little reunion. You didn't have to do this!"

"Jack, you know what kind of past I have with this wench-"

"Excuse m-

"Shut up! And you didn't invite her to have a little reunion. You invited her so you can introduce the whole world that she's your 'fake' girlfriend." I said. Jack stares at me with wide eyes.

"She really didn't fall for it." Kiara scoffed.

"Of course not. Why would Jack go back to you? Look Jack, you can tell the paparazzi I'm your non-celebrity girlfriend and I can handle it. Just don't let it go this far. Please."

"Mel, that's the problem."

"What? What is the problem?"

Kiara smirks. "Because your sister is Megan Fox and everyone knows about you, Mel. Either way, you are connected to a celebrity right?"

I rolled my eyes. Old habits never die. Kiara is still stupid as ever.

Jack sighs. "Bianca, my manager, found out about us. And she doesn't want us to go public especially... Well, not be rude but because of that incident yesterday regarding you and your sister."

"In...cident?"

"Mel, your sister went to court yesterday. She turned herself in for child abuse."

W-what?
