"Hurry up, you sleazy maggots!"
Try. That was all Reiner had in mind. Every step, He could feel thrusts of pain lingering up his body, blood was slowly gathering and breathing becoming hopeless.
But was there a way in stopping? No, it was either a fate of do or give up. No rules spoken. Ever since young candidates have eagered their place as a shifter, battles have been approaching forth now and again.
The rain was starting to grow even more heavily, and the tone in Chief Magath's voice didn't seem to intimidate anyone.
One by one, other children began darting past Reiner. He looked up slightly, noticing that they were getting even closer to the finish. Without hesitation, Reiner fixtured his position and panted and did his best not to stop.
"Marcel Galliard, passed!"
A little in front, Marcel gave a quick smirk to Reiner, before propping his equipment back in place. With a look of dismay, Reiner laid down the gun he was holding, threw off the hard-knocked backpack and headed to home.
Luckily, the stiff drops of rain had become thinner, and splashes of sunlight were ushering in.
When Reiner had finally made it back to his home, he found a small envelope-like object under a mat. There appeared some scrawled writing that he couldn't make out, and on the back was a symbol. It looked like an image of someone of royalty, but just about as he was about to find out the rest of the letter, Reiners mother approached him.
"Dear, how was training today?"
"It was...alright, yeah.
"Oh, that's decent news I guess.."
Reiner swept inside, he didn't want to upset his mother. He thought to himself "What could possibly be written? No, I'll find out that out later, whenever possible.."
