chapter 5

Being friends with Jaden hasn't been the worst, I guess. I mean I don't miss him teasing me but he was also like the first guy to " flirt" with me. It's Jaden though. I was most likely just another side chick. It is June 5th and obviously, school is done. I got up and did my regular routine, I was finishing getting dressed when I got a facetime call from Jayla, I was only in my bra and some jean shorts but I answered anyway.

" Hey what's up?" I asked her through the phone.

" bod goals holy fuck," She swore.

" I gotta finish getting ready what you need?" I laughed.

" Come over soon, we have some news for you," she said suspiciously.

" uh ok, be there in 20," I told her as I hung up the phone.

I finished getting dressed and slipped on some shoes. I drove the golf cart to their house within 5 minutes and parked it. I walked up to the door with my phone in my hand and knocked.

" hey," Jayla said opening the door.

" hi!" I said kissing her cheek.

We walked into the house and we talked on the couch for a little. She said that the parents had news for everyone and they didn't even know yet but DJ and Jess were out at the store for another couple of minutes. I got up and walked to the kitchen to get something to drink from the fridge. I opened the fridge and grabbed a Gatorade but before I closed it, someone grazed my backside, their hips touched mine and I felt bare skin on my back. I took a deep breath and saw it was Jaden. He was shirtless and wearing some basketball shorts.

" you okay there?" He smirked.

" Mhm," I sighed before walking back to the couch.

" I am gonna kill your brother," I told Jayla sitting down.

" What did he do now?" She asked with a straight face.

" He will not stop teasing me," I whined. That's when I heard the front door open. I looked over and it was Dj and Jess.

" KIDS, LIVING ROOM NOW!" She yelled as she walked to the living room. Jaden walked in and sat right next to me. Javon and Daelo rushed down and sat next to Jayla.

" You're not in trouble, stop freaking out," Jess laughed. We all sighed and then they finished talking.

" Ok, so, It's summer, obviously and we thought what would be more fun than to go spend a week at a cabin, so DJ and I rented out a nice cabin to stay in, yes Leah, you are coming with and your parents said it was fine, The browns are coming along, and Kylee is coming also" She explained. We all started cheering in happiness.

" Ok! Ok, but... there are some ground rules. One, Jaden and Leah, you guys will not be sleeping in the same room, just until you can prove that you two aren't, you know. Two, no breaking anything in the cabin, it's not ours. Three, I don't want any fighting or we will be leaving right away, and last but not least, have fun, please, it's summer break," She continued. I was happy but sad that I couldn't share a room with Jaden, I mean now I get to share with the girls which are fun but, you know. We all were just celebrating and Jaden gave me a death stare. Then Jess pulled me aside.

" Hey hun, look, I don't think there is anything going on with you and Jaden, but if there is, I'm happy for you. DJ made me say you guys couldn't share. I'm sorry hunny, but at least Kaylen will be there with you!" She apologized and hugged me.

" It's fine Jess, and no there is nothing going on between us," I laughed. She just rubbed my back and then walked back to the kids. I walked back after a couple of seconds.
