After taking care of his injured cheek, Jeongin turned back to the kitchen, but when he saw how close Minho was to Y/N, he ran up to them, harshly pushing him away. Minho managed to stay on his feet, but hit that spot of his elbow on the edge of the counter.

"What's your fucking problem?!" he said while caressing his elbow.

"You are my problem" Jeongin responded with a cold tone and hastily walked up to Y/N "Are you okay? Did he do anything to you??"

"No it's fine, I'm okay" she assured him.

"Good" he said, the corners of his lips forming a small smile.

He then took her hand, leading her to the living room to sit on the couch and wait for him to cook the ramen. When he went back to the kitchen, Minho was still there, but neither of them said anything for minutes. Because no one was speaking a word, Minho decided to walk out, but that's when Jeongin broke the silence.

"Why did you do this? Why her, Minho?" his eyes focused on the boiling water.

Upon hearing his brother's questions, he looked back at him.

"I have my reasons, you know that well."

"No, I don't. But do you even know who she is?! What business would you have with her? As hard as I try to get a hold of what it could be, nothing comes to my mind!" he exclaimed angrily.

"Yes I know, Jeongin" he sighed "I didn't want to go after her like that, but I had no choice after seeing that she escaped"

"Then why didn't you tie her up in chains or something, to make sure she wouldn't do that!" he scoffed, irony lingering in his tone.

"Because I was testing her!"

Jeongin raised an eyebrow and moved his eyes from the water to Minho.

"What do you mean?"

"I made a deal with her and I wanted to see how much she trusted me, but apparently I wasn't trustworthy enough." Minho flashed a smile and went out of the kitchen leaving Jeongin dumbfounded.

Y/N was quietly waiting for Jeongin to finish cooking, because her stomach was already hurting from the hunger. Her want was fullfiled when he finally entered the living room with two hot bowls of soup. Smiling, he placed them on the table.

"Eat well!" he said.

"You too!" she returned the words.

While eating, a question kept wandering around Y/N's mind which she eventually asked.

"What's your relationship with Minho?"

Jeongin averted his eyes to her curious being, after gulping down his food.

"We're brothers." he paused for a few seconds "Well, step brothers..."

Her mouth formed an 'o' shape while nodding.

"I see..." she actually had more to ask, but didn't want to seem like she's forcing him to divulge about their privacy.

She looked at the now empty bowl in her hands and heard him mutter something, but didn't understand what it was.

"Mh?" she questioned.

"You know, he might be a bad person, but I honestly feel bad for him at times..."

She frowned waiting for him to continue.

"Please, don't hold any grunges against him, even though he was an ass to you... And please" he sighed "You must really not say anything about what you've experienced for the last few days!" he looked at her with clear sadness in his eyes, softening her heart.
