On Monday morning, the training camp officially starts. Everyone arrives around six in the morning. Most of the team is pretty tired, but Hinata and Nishinoya are really pumped up. Tsukishima is really sleepy.
"This was such a stupid idea. Why did I even bother coming?" He mutters."It will be fun, Tsukki. I promise." Yamaguchi smiles at him.
Ukai gathers the group and gives everyone a brief overview of how the week will go.
"We are going to wake up at five-thirty every morning, get ready, eat, and then come to this gym at six. We'll practice until noon, when we'll have lunch, and then we'll keep practicing until six pm. At that time, we'll eat dinner. You'll be dismissed afterwards, but you can keep practicing if you want. Lights-out will be at ten thirty, got it?" He says. "And make sure to thank Takeda, Kiyoko, and Yachi for cooking the meals.""Okay, you guys can start practicing now." Takeda smiles.
"Stretch first, and then do some diving drills." Ukai says.
Everyone nods, and they do as they are told. Tsukishima takes off his sports glasses and rubs his eyes.
"Are you tired, Tsukki?" Yamaguchi asks.
"Sort of. This is ridiculous, having us practice so early, every day for a week."
"I know you feel that way, but try to have an open mind. You might learn something, or grow closer to one of our teammates, or sharpen a skill you already have. Try to see this as a learning experience, and you might just have fun." Yamaguchi puts his hand on Tsukishima's shoulder and smiles, blushing just a little bit.
"That's what I wanna hear! Great advice, Yamaguchi!" Daichi says, overhearing their conversation.
"Oh, uh, thanks!"
"But take your hand off of Tsukishima, you're both supposed to be practicing."
Yamaguchi blushes a little more and steps away from Tsukishima. "O-okay, sorry."
"Yeah, save it for after practice!" Tanaka snickers.
"I-it's not like that."
Tanaka smirks. "Whatever you say."
Tsukishima glares at Tanaka and starts practicing.
Suga walks over to Daichi. "I think there might be something going on between those two."
Daichi stops stretching. "Huh? Between who?"
"Tsukishima and Yamaguchi."
"What do you mean, something is going on?"
"You know..."
Daichi looks confused.
"I think they might be dating." Suga leans over and whispers.
"What? What makes you think that?"
"Well, when I walked into the bathroom the other day, their faces were really close together and they were just staring at each other. And Yamaguchi was blushing a lot. I asked them what they were doing, but Tsukishima just said 'nothing' and left." Suga shrugs. "Maybe they were kissing or something before I walked in."
"Hmmm." Daichi looks thoughtful.
"Should we ask them about it?"
Daichi shakes his head. "I don't think that's a good idea. If they are dating, it seems like they want to keep it a secret, and if they aren't, then it would make things awkward between them."
"Yeah, you're right. I just wanted to let you know."
"Okay. Thanks, Suga."
"No problem."
