Chaos's Blessing book one

Chapter 2

"So why did Poseidon summon you to Atlantis?" Annabeth asked as everyone was heading back to their cabins. "I'll tell you but first I need Nico, Bianca, Clarisse, and the rest of the head counselor's. Tell them there's a meeting at the Big House in ten minutes." While Annabeth went to round up the head counselor's, I went to the Rec Room in the Big House where we hold meetings, to figure out the best way to tell everyone.

After nine minutes I finally decided to tell everyone everything. The whole truth and not hide anything. I heard everyone come down to the Rec Room and everyone sat around the ping pong table. "Why did you call a meeting my boy?" Chiron asked. "There's something I need to tell you guys. This is probably the hardest thing I have to do." I said. Annabeth grabbed my hand in a 'I'm here for you' kind of way.

I gulped. 'Here goes nothing I guess.' I thought to myself. "As you all know, I was gone from camp for a few hours, because my dad summoned me to Atlantis. When I got there I found out a few things." I said, before I got quiet. "We're here for you Prissy." Clarisse said encouragingly. I took a deep breath and continued.

"The first thing I found out is how my father almost lost the war in Atlantis. Triton was a spy for Oceanus." Chiron frowned and Annabeth squeezed my hand. "Triton was banished from Atlantis and turned mortal with no memories of the Greek world. With him gone, I am now the Prince of the Seas and Heir to the Throne." "SWEET!" Nico yelled. "So now you're Prince Seaweed Brain." Annabeth laughed.

I cleared my throat. "That's not everything." I said. "There's more, I don't know how to tell you this, so I'm going to give it to you straight. Once I turn seventeen, I will be a Primordial." "Does that mean you're not a son of Poseidon?" Will asked. "No I am the son of Poseidon. When I was born, Chaos, the creator, visited both Sally and Poseidon and asked them if he could bless me. Even when I was a baby, they could tell that I was very powerful. Even Chaos could tell."

"What are you going to be the Primordial of?" Bianca asked. "The Primordial of Heroes, Phandelver, faded after the first Titan War with Kronos. Because I am the most powerful son that that Poseidon or any of the Big Three had, Chaos blessed me and named me Primordial of Heroes when I turn seventeen. The Gods know about Chaos's blessing, but there's more. Part of Chaos's Blessing was that I would be fully Immortal, never Fading."

Everyone gasped. "However, Riptide can not handle the power of a Primordial. It is meant for a Half-blood to use, as it is not strong enough to be used a as a symbol of power." "My boy, what are you going to do with Riptide?" Chiron asked. "I'm giving it back to Zoë. She made it, it should go back to her."

Chiron nodded. "Wait hold up. Let me clarify something. You are nine months from becoming a Primordial, the Primordial of Heroes, you will be fully immortal, unable to fade, you're the Prince of the Seas, Heir to the Throne?" Katie asked. "Yup." "What about your mom and Paul?" A new voice sounded. I looked towards the voice.

"THALIA!" I shouted. "How long have you been standing there?" "Since the meeting started. The Hunters and I came here while Artemis went on a solo hunt for Lycaon. Annabeth invited me to the meeting so I could surprise you, yet you end up surprising me." Thalia laughed.

"To answer your question Pinecone Face, the Gods made a deal with mom and Paul the day after my birthday. When I become a Primordial, the gods will turn my mom and Paul immortal." "So what are you going to do about your symbol of power?" Jake asked. "My dad asked Tyson to make a prototype of a new sword for my symbol of power." "How long will that take?" The Stolls asked at the same time.

"It will take a few months to design and a few more months to make. When Tyson is done, Poseidon will take the prototype to Hephaestus to forge, as he is the Blacksmith of the Gods. So all in all, I honestly don't know." "Kelp Head, when this meeting is over I want to talk to you." Just as I was about to say that the counsel was dismissed, all the Gods flashed in.

"Perseus Jackson." Zeus started. "Because of you becoming the Primordial of Heroes, the council has decided that when you become the Primordial of Heroes on your seventeenth birthday, you will become the Camp Director for Camp Half-Blood. Council dismissed." "Zeus stop being lazy and tell them the whole truth of why we are here!" Hera scolded.

Zeus sighed. "All the head counselor's besides Perseus-" "For obvious reasons." Athena muttered. All the gods glared at Athena, and she went quiet. "-will be getting partial immortality and become the Immortal counselors of their cabin. That is unless they fall in battle." Zeus concluded.

I saw Conner and Travis sneak behind Athena and Annabeth with large rubber tarantulas. I knew I had to distract them, so I came up with a brilliant idea. "Annabeth, Lady Athena!" I called to them. "What do you want Perseus?" "I have a question for you." "Here we go." Poseidon said annoyed. "We have the answer." Everyone groaned.

"What is the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything?" Athena and Annabeth talked amongst themselves for a while trying to figure out the answer. While they were talking, Conner put extra heavy duty super glue on the bottom of the tarantula. Conner then took the super glued tarantula and stuck it on Athena's shoulder, while Travis did the same to Annabeth.

Finally after ten minutes of talking, they got irritated. "We don't know! HOW DO WE NOT KNOW THAT?" "Forty-two. Follow up question, what happened to being the Wisdom Goddess and the daughter of the Wisdom goddess?" I sassed.
"PERSASSY FOR THE WIN!" Thalia shouted.

Annabeth and Athena glared at me. During this time Chiron had caught on to what was happening and decided to join in. "Annabeth, Lady Athena, what's on your shoulders?" Chiron asked innocently. They both looked, then screamed. "SPIDER!!!!!!" They both fainted out of fear immediately after.

All the Gods and Demigods started laughing our asses off. "I CAUGHT THAT ON CAMERA!!!" Apollo yelled while laughing. Hermes turned to the Stolls. "Got anymore of those rubber tarantulas and the heavy duty super glue?" "YUP! Best part is the super glue will never come off." Conner and Travis handed Hermes the requested items.

Hermes then super glued the rubber tarantulas to both Athena's and Annabeth's chests. We all started laughing more. "Guys, I have an idea." I told everyone. "What is it?" Apollo asked. "Set up a hidden camera so we can A) watch what happens when they wake up, and B) use it as blackmail." Everyone grinned. "I like your style Perce." Hades said. Apollo set up the camera then we all ran up the stairs.
