(THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR 2K EVRYBODY😭💖)

It was a rainy day, one of Wanda's least favorite kinds of days, but my favorite. I knew that the storms set her on edge, they always had. I had learned that quickly after she'd joined the Avengers.

There was a night with the wind whipping and thunder crashing that led to a very disheveled Wanda showing up at my door. She had her blanket wrapped around her body with a scared look in her eyes when I opened it to see her standing there.

That was one of the first times I felt my heart clench for her, needing to take her in and protect her from anything that could harm her. That night, I pulled her into my room and held her as the storm raged on outside.

After a few hours, she'd stopped jumping in fear, her body relaxed in my hold and I could tell that she'd fallen asleep. Sleep wasn't an option for me, so I had stayed up to make sure she would be okay through the night.

I knew then, she was going to have me wrapped around her finger. I was reading today, ignoring the storm raging outside, but Wanda was pacing, unable to find any comfort in the soothing rain as it
hit the windows. It was hard to focus on my book with her walking around the room, red mist swirling around her every time the thunder would crash.

I sighed and put my book down, waiting
for her to walk past me again. I reached out and grabbed her wrist, tugging her down into my lap. "What are you doing?" She asked, a small giggle leaving her mouth.
"You're pacing. You're going to burn a hole in the floor, love." I said, kissing her cheek softly.

"It's just... The storm. You know how I get." She said softly, leaning her forehead against mine. "Yes, I was just thinking of the night that a certain redhead showed up at my door looking adorable
as ever and I got to hold her as she fell asleep." I said with a smile.

"That was a good night. I wasn't sure how you would react to me being there. Not after... You know..." She said softly, avoiding the topic of what had happened.

"You were so soft and vulnerable, there was no way I was going to turn you away." I said with a smile. "And you thought I was cute." She said, nudging my nose with hers. "I still do." I said with a laugh.

"You better." She said, shaking her head lightly.

"I knew that day that I was going to love you." I admitted.

"Right. Loved me enough to jump off a cliff and kill yourself." She said, slipping out of my lap.

"It's not that simple..." I said softly.

"Do you know what you died for? Do you know who mourned your life?" She asked, her eyes doing their best to read me.

"No." I admitted, my eyes looking down at the floor.

"No one. No one but your family, Clint, and I. You were written off, Natasha. Like trash. The world? The world knew of your sacrifice. But yet they only talked about Tony's." She said, shaking her head.

"But that doesn't make any sense..." I said, frowning slightly.

"Why doesn't it? You're a former Russian spy. Why would they care about you? You're nothing to them. Sure, you helped to save the world before. But that doesn't mean anything and you know
that. Don't you?" She asked, scoffing lightly.

"I guess I never really thought of it..." I said softly.

"Of course, you didn't. Because you're selfish. You thought that if you did a few good deeds, saved the world a couple of times, everyone would forget about your past, but guess what. They didn't. And now, you're going to live with that." She said, shaking her head.
