"your shower doesn't have hot water." mingyu says walking into the living room while drying his hair with a towel.
"yeah because you used it all last night." i turn around to face him. "you know i pay all the electrical bills here, right? his back is faced towards me but i can feel a smirk growing on his face. "nope, didn't know that!" he turns around and proceeds to walk back to my bedroom.
i roll my eyes and bring my attention back to my phone. "oh right, haeji is coming over for dinner tomorrow." i hear him stop dead in his tracks.
silence...
i lift up my head to see the reflection on the tv screen. mingyu scuffles around and flings himself onto the sofa next to me. "WHAT?!?!?"
"do you realise what you just said? when was this confirmed? why didn't you tell me sooner? what are you going to wear? what are you going to cook?" mingyu harasses me with questions.
"okay okay calm down.." he sits himself next to me. "we were just texting and she's coming over to prove to you that XX is the best band ever. AND BEFORE you say anything, they are indeed the BEST BAND EVER." he folds his arms. "and, i'm not cooking. we're ordering take out. i don't want to risk burning down my kitchen."
"DUDE. you've been texting this girl nonstop for the PAST WEEK, smiling and giggling all day like it's all sunshine and rainbows. but when you invite her over, you don't even seem half-excited." he says facing me.
i move myself to lay down. "i AM excited, but i'm nervous too."
i sigh, "i like her okay, maybe not just a little bit, maybe more than i thought i would. but like i said, i want to get to know her more. it isn't that easy to date these days. you don't know what you're getting yourself into." i stare at the white ceiling in front of me.
"whatever you say man. whatever you say."
