Yn sat on a stump near a stream, staring into a wolf's eyes. The wolf lowered his head as he stalked back and forth, almost as if he was about to pounce on Yn and snap his jaws around her throat, but Yn knew the wolf well and smiled before getting off the stump and kneeling at the edge of the stream, the cold water nipping at her knees as she reached over to pet the dark brown fur.

Yn's hand was sniffed by the wolf, who then bumped into it. Yn let her palm tangle in the fur and gently dragged it to the top of the wolf's head, exactly between its long ears, which twitched as a long howl echoed through the wind.

The wolf's head snapped in the direction of the howl, and howled in returned. Six more wolves emerged from the shadows, three pups nipping at each other. Yn lowered her hand from the brown wolf who snapped his jaws at the others, and a light grey wolf growled back, causing the brown wolf to sit with his ears down. "Hey now, be nice," Yn said, glaring at the grey wolf who perked his ears at her.

Another lighter brown wolf stepped forward and nuzzled into the grey wolf's side, leading the brown wolf in front of Yn to stand up and drop his head and growl. Yn stood up and jumped over the creek, almost falling...she had finally crossed the stream after months.

Yn snuggled back into the brown wolf and tangled her hands in his soft fur once more as the cubs came towards them. The cubs leaped into Yn's lap, forcing her to let go of the wolf and go play with the cubs, but she froze when she heard a loud growl and felt something sniff her.

Instead of the brown wolf she knew so well, a midnight black wolf stood in front of her, with a damp snout brushing against her neck. "YN WHERE ARE YOU?" Yn heard as she watched a sandy blonde wolf settle down next the black wolf. Yn jerked her head to the other side of the stream, picking the cubs from her lap and carefully placing them on the ground before standing up.

As Yn jumped across the stream once more, the wolves all perked up at the sound of her new voice. "COMING NANA!" she exclaimed as she began to speed towards her cottage, stopping just before she stepped on the path. She turned and waved before leaving, leaving a trail of crimson behind her.

Yn was back at the stream, waiting for the wolf to appear, but he never came. A cub, on the other hand, did appear, yipped at Yn, and began running in circles. Before crossing the stream, Yn laughed at the pup and followed him deeper into the woods, drawing her scarlet cloak closer to her body.

"Pup, where are we going?" Yn inquired as it yipped and nipped at her ankles. She shook her head and continued pursuing the sandy blonde pup till she came to an opening with a swarm of wolves staring at her. 37 wolves returned her stare.

6 of them were pups. Yn recognised her wolf's familiar brown eyes and began running towards him, only to be halted by the light grey wolf. Yn landed on her ass, causing her to yelp in pain, and the grey wolf was soon pushed aside. Yn's vision blurred quickly due to crying, and her sobs caused many of the wolves' ears to perk up.

Yn laughed as she felt a tongue brush against her cheek. The sound of thumping filled Yn's ears as the wolves tail wagged, and many of the wolves looked to be intrigued by the girl hugging their beta wolf, the same wolf that was now slowly shifting.

Yn grew colder as she moved closer to the wolf, only to be confronted by skin rather than fur. Yn leapt back, her gaze rising to the male brown eyes, gorgeous brown eyes, peered down at her. "Wolf?" Yn inquired as she slid back slightly, the 'wolf' nodded rapidly before speaking "Sapnap" Yn observed the other wolves as they began to shift slowly.

"That's your name?" Yn inquired as her gaze returned to the male in front of her. He nodded again. "You're not going to hurt me are you?" As tears welled up in Yn's eyes, Sapnap hurriedly shook his head and said, "no, never." He leaned in to grab Yn's hand, but his hand was grabbed.

"I think that's enough Sapnap, it's time for her to go home," Sapnap nodded, bowing his head. Yn stared up at him and rose up, putting herself between him and Sapnap. "And who do you think you are bossing him around?" a low growl came from the male in front of her. He had bluish green eyes and blonde hair.

"Before I rip your throat out, learn your place human." Yn glared at the male "SIT," Yn snapped, knocking the male to the ground; he snarled up at Yn, who turned away and laid a hand on Sapnap's head, allowing her hand to become intertwined in hair.

Yn had spent the night in his cave with him just talking. "It's midnight, I think it's best you take Yn home," As she stuck her head into Sapnap's cave, a girl with pink hair remarked, He nodded then shifted, he laid down alongside Yn and bumped her with his nose, making the sleeping girl hum and open her eyes. Sapnap made a motion with his muzzle to his back.

Yn recognised Sapnap's warmth and climbed onto his back. She buried her head between Sapnap's shoulder blades and fell asleep. Sapnap crept up to the door of Yn's house and banged against it. Yn's nana appeared when the door opened. Sapnap lowered himself to reveal Yn, who was resting on his back.

"It's good to see you old friend," Yn's Nana said as Sapnap wagged his tail as the old lady welcomed him into her home. "She still likes the woods, doesn't she?" Yn's Nana asked again as Sapnap nodded his head and started to shift on the floor. "Always have, always will," Sapnap said as a smirked graced his lips.

"Just like when we were younger," Sapnap finished as he raised his eyes to Nan. "The woods have that effect," Nan observed as she gazed out the window at the forest, the same forest where she had discovered her true love and the same forest Yn had found hers.
