To The Bone (Haesoo)

Haein heaved a deep sighed when he heard the director yelled cut. Fog clouded his vision as he exhaled. It’s unbelievable cold tonight. His almost chilling when he got into side and looked at the monitor.

“Hey, have you heard from the staff? Another food truck was sent and drove here tonight?” Kyungpyo said besides him.

With a knotted forehead, Haein looked at his friend. “But it’s dangerous to come in this area. It’s freezing cold.”

“I know right? I just heard it from the staffs. I haven’t seen who is it for.”

He shrugged. “Maybe for the director.”

“But it’s nice to have a warm coffee and churros. I’m starving, can we eat?”

“Go on. I’ll see our takes more and talk to the director.”

Kyungpyo saluted and went out. He, on the other hand, talked to the director about some of his scenes he’s not sure of. When he’s done, he went on the side and fished out his phone from his jacket.

His heart warmed when he saw her picture on his screen. And he have lots of notification from their chaotic group in Snowdrop.

Now that he remembered, new episodes will be shown this coming weekends. If he have time, maybe he can ask her to watch the next episodes together?

He checked if she have messages for him, but nothing. She just spammed him some of their photos from her film camera. He smiled. He will save later when the connection is strong.

“Haein!” His manager called out to him. “Let’s go have a snack!“

“Okay!”

Before going, he sent her a message. Just a simple message of keep herself warm tonight and a good night sleep.

He’s not looking anywhere when he went to the back where the foods are being prepared. He stopped on his tracks when a familiar photo of his greeted him and he saw the churros truck.

The food truck was for him?

He looked up at the banners and he can’t believe what he read. He chuckled at the messages. And his cold body warmed as he realized who wrote those messages. Her name was also written as one of the sender.

Haein positioned his phone to capture the food truck when four heads suddenly popped out inside the truck. He jumped and his jaw hang opened when Yiseo, Shinhye, Hyeyoon, and her—Jisoo collectively laughed at him.

“Surprise, oppa!”

Her eyes twinkled with mischief as she grinned behind that black mask.

“Surprised?”

Haein licked his lips after biting at the churros. His eyes not leaving her face.

“Very.” He chuckled. “Very surprised, indeed.”

“I asked the girls to come,” she whispered.

He looked over at the three girls who are currently talking to his other co-actors. He managed to hid Jisoo but he knew the people on set are dying to come near her and asked for a photo with her.

“This was one of my promises with…”

Haein smiled softly at her and reached for her hand. He caressed the back of it before interlacing with his.

“We know she’s happy to see us like this.”

Jisoo smiled. “Yes… I wear this pants for her.”

“Looks good on you, honestly.”

“Shut up, oppa.”

He chuckled again. Ah, he can’t stop himself. He’s happy just being with her like this. Even if hiding behind big trucks.

“Thank you, Jisoo-ya.” He cleared his throat and stared at her beautiful face. “Have I ever told you…how much you mean to me now?”

Jisoo licked her lips and nodded. She slowly blinked and her eyes shined with happiness. “You constantly remind of that, how can I forget?”

“Good.” His heart warmed. “Coz I’m thankful that you came to my life.”

Jisoo leaned towards him. Her head resting on his shoulder. “Same here, oppa. Same here.”

“What time are you gonna finished?”

“Hmm.” He looked at his watch. “I have one more scene to do, so not long maybe.”

“Ah…”

“You should go home now with the girls. It’s so cold and I don’t want you to get sick, Jisoo.”

Jisoo bit her lip. “Can I wait for you? I’ll wait in the car so I will not disturb the crew. Let’s go home together.”

Haein stopped himself from grinning too much. Because he’s been grinning too much since she arrived. And by the teasing smiles and looks from his co-actors and other staffs, yep, they noticed.

He scratched the back of his head. He quickly looked around and when he’s sure nobody’s looking he kissed her cheek.

“I’d like that, Chu.”

Jisoo blushed and pushed him away. They did not say anything as they parted. He went back to the set with so much energy.

Who would believe that before he was only saying good byes to her, and now, he can go home with her?
