    Tiffany's PoV

There's a reason why my mother wanted me to stay for the night at her home tonight, and that is because I have to deal with my past before things get too out of control.

"Why are you here? I thought you were happy with the man you chose to be with. If I recall correctly, you said you want someone with a phallus a pole size." I watched as Amanda laughed at what I had just said.

"Oh Tiff, you're always the one to joke around. We never agreed on breaking up, right? I was wondering why you cut my credit card off. I was about to buy the newest handbag collection from my favorite designer when the staff said my card was declined." This woman must be high.

"The staff is right- your card is declined. It should be that way because we broke up." Amanda's expression changes.

"But why?! You said you would pay for my living expenses! Did you forget that I am your living collection?!" I scoffed.

"Not anymore. Now, if you would excuse me, I have other things to do than listening to your yapping. Why not ask for money from your new boy toy? Oh wait- I forgot. That man was a waiter before your company scouted him and asked him to be a model. Of course, he has no money- he's a new face." I pretend to be sorry for Amanda before showing my middle finger at her.

"Fuck you and your lifestyle. Go back and crawl to his bed for all I care!" Amanda grabbed hold of my hand and said,

"But we love each other. Why would you go back on your promise like this? You said you're going to take care of me!" I pulled my hand away from this bitch and smirked.

"Why don't you ask yourself why. Leave my mother's estate before I call the police. Don't force me to humiliate you, Amanda." I left the woman alone and asked the servants to make sure she left the estate.

I can't believe that she dare to come forth and demand things from me after doing it. What sort of woman can't even realize her own mistake? I was stupid for falling for that sort of woman.

"What are you doing up?" I asked Lucia when I walked into my room.

"I don't know which side of the bed you like, miss." Huh?

"I don't care which side." I walked into the bathroom to remove my makeup.

"Miss, are you alright? I heard screaming from the room you were in when I went to the kitchen." In other words, she's been eavesdropping.

"I'm fine. You should rest. Tomorrow I want to bring you to the mall before our trip to Japan. There will be a couple of events that need you to wear something formal." Lucia nodded and went to bed.

I wonder if my mother is asleep? It's been a while since I had something to drink. What happened early calls for a bottle of whiskey on the rocks. I went to the wine stash that I hid inside the globe and smiled upon seeing my most prize drinks still on there.

"Nothing can beat a bottle of fine whiskey." I took a glass and went outside the balcony to enjoy the serene night sky.

"I can join you if you like." I chuckled when I saw Lucia walks out to the balcony wearing nothing but a robe.

"First, find some thick clothes in my closet. Then you can join me." Lucia smiled before she went inside. Seconds later, she came back, wearing my fur coat.

"Can you hold your alcohol well?" Lucia smirked.

"You have no idea. I often went out with my colleague for a soju break." I see. Then she would drink well. Even I couldn't drink soju that well. It hits different.

"Here is to your first night in my mother's home. I'm sure you had a blast when my mother showed you around." Lucia smiled.

"There's an Olympic size indoor swimming in this house. I have a question that I've been wondering since I could talk." I wave my hand as I pour another glass of whiskey.

"Why is there a need for rich people to have the biggest and most lavish home money?" I shrugged my shoulder.

"I don't know why for others, but me, I work hard for the money that I own, and I want to see what sort of things my money could buy for me. In other words, I like to see the fruit of my hard work."  Lucia hummed before she took a sip of her drink. I find it amusing to see how she reacted.

"I feel like my organs are being blended to make a smoothie. Oh God- I love soju more than this." I laughed.

"I don't know how to drink soju. My body couldn't take it." I watched as Alicia reached out for the bottle of whiskey.

"I don't think you should drink anymore. Your face looks like an octopus." Lucia smiled.

"Miss Tiffany, I didn't know you have a twin." A twin? This woman is intoxicated. I can't believe it- she's drunk from her first glass?! Isn't that too weak?

"You should rest. I mean it, Lucia. It's time for you to rest." Lucia sighed before she stood up from her seat and went inside. I hope she remembers to take off the coat before going to bed.

For the past few days, I've been wondering if I made a good decision by taking Lucia in as my escort. Lia kept telling me that I should rethink my decision, but I didn't see why I should let her go.

After all. I took out a lot of money from my account to help her. I am entitled to earn something since I spend a lot of money, right?

There's no harm in showing my 'investment' to everyone. I have a mission to worry about and I'm planning to do a great job in luring more investor into the company. Lucia will help me with that goal of mine.

  THE NEXT DAY,

I was waiting for the helicopter's arrival when someone suddenly grabbed my hand from behind.

  "Lucia? What's wrong?" I asked.

"You're not serious. Where are we going? Do we need to use the helicopter? Can't we use the car?" I hummed.

"We can use the car, but it would be faster to arrive if we use the helicopter. Don't worry- I've been using this since I was a child. The pilot knows what he's doing." I tried to assure her of fear, but I don't think it worked. What should I do?

"Should I call the pilot and tell him to return?" Lucia immediately shook her head no. Just seconds ago, she was adamant about not flying with the helicopter, and now she's refusing to let me call the pilot?

"I only live once. After all, there's no harm in trying new things. I should be alright. Just imagine the view that I get to see. Even though I have no idea where we're going, I'm sure you have your reason for doing so." Lucia tried to smile, but it didn't reach her eyes.

"We're going to a private island that my family owns. I was thinking of having some fun by the beach and perhaps snorkeling around the reef." Lucia's eyes lit up.

"The beach?! I love the beach. But why do we need to go to the island when we can go to a beach that's only twenty minutes away?" I smiled.

"What do you expect from a billionaire? Of course, I would go to a private island and spend my time without disturbance." Lucia sighed before shaking her head.

"I'm sorry for even asking such a question." I smiled.

"It's here." Lucia squeezed my hand.

"I can call off the ride if you're that nervous. I wouldn't want you to faint because of it." Lucia shakes her head no.

"I can do this. Besides, I have to ride a plane next week. I can make use of this as a way to train myself for the long flight." Hold on-

"You're afraid of flying?" Lucia shakes her head no.

"I don't know since I have never ridden on a plane before, but the idea itself is enough to make me nervous." I see. We took a step back as the helicopter landed on the helipad.

"Have a nice trip, you guys. Make sure to wear sunscreen before going to the beach to avoid skin cancer. Also, Tiffany, please take care of Lucia." I smiled at my mother, who came to bid us goodbye.

"I know. Gosh- please stop nagging. It's giving you more wrinkles in your face." My mother sighed.

"Please stop teasing your mother like that. I've been wary of the wrinkles, and you're making it worse." I chuckled before helping Lucia into the helicopter. So far, so good- she seems a little bit calm once inside the helicopter.

"Let me fasten your seat belt." Lucia nodded and let me help her with the belt.

"You have to wear this. We can talk through the mic here." I put on the headphones for her before going to my seat.

"Miss Tiffany, can I hope your hands?" I guess. Lucia grabbed my hand right after I gave her a nod. Gosh- how sweaty can a hand be?
