You woke up in a dark metal box with no memory of who you are. The only thing you could remember was your name. (First). (First). You said it in your mind and sometimes out loud like you were afraid it would dissolve into thin air. You were wearing a green hoodie with a grey t-shirt, jeans and boots. The box was moving upward like some kind of lift. Suddenly with a jerk the box stopped. Blinding light flooded into the small lift. You heard "Hey greenie" and a attractive blond haired boy jumped into the box.
"We aren't going to hurt you" he said and you heard a thick British accent
He lifted you out of the box and you looked around. It was a huge clearing with a few buildings and a small forest you didn't know which scared you more, that the place was sourounded by huge walls with only one opening you can see, or that the people around you were all boys. Not one girl. There was about forty or more boys of all ages looking at you. You looked back of the blond boy that helped you out of the box and he said "mind taking the hood of so we can see what our greenie looks like.?" You haven't realized your hood was still up. You took it of and the boys all starred.
"A girl"
"Is She hot"
"Oh my god a girl"
"That's a first"
"She's pretty"
"I call dibs!"
That last comment made your blood boil. You turned to were it came from.
"No one gets dibs!" You said the blond boy chuckled and said "names Newt greenie. I know your probably really confused but I'm only second command so come on and I'll take you to Alby" he turned to the crowd and said "any of you shanks touch her in any way that makes her uncomfortable your spending a week in the slammer, now back to work"
You laughed as the grumbling boys resumed their work. He looked at you and said "what's your name love?" You blushed when he called you love but said "(First)" He said "(First)", I like it" and you blushed even more.
"Come on love" he said offering you his hand which you took and went to find this Alby person.
On the tour with Alby
He told you this place was called the "glade" and showed you the box and explained how ever week it comes up with supplies and every month comes up with a new person whom they called the "greenie" this month it was you. He showed you the homestead and the gardens, the kitchen, the bloodhouse, the deadheads and told you to never go outside the walls. He led you to a window in the wall, by this time newt joined you, and you saw the scariest thing you have probably ever seen(you couldn't remember)
It was a cow sized blob that looked half machine half animal with many arms, it was hideous.
You screamed and jumped back into Newt.
"What is that!" You yelled
"That" he said chuckling at your reaction "is a griever, love"
About two weeks later
You had been in the glade about two weeks and had made friends with Alby, Frypan, Minho, Winston and you weren't on the WORST terms with Gally (you may or may not have punched him in the face when he touched your butt) but the person you liked the most in the glade was Newt. You may have a crush on the Brit. Scratch that a HUGE crush. You were currently working in the gardens which was the job you got. Newt was working next to you, or you thought. You threw a bad tomato behind your back and heard
"BLOODY HELL!"
You turned around to see Newt standing behind you with a smashed tomato all over his face
You busted out laughing at his startled face. You were literally rolling on the ground.
"You think that's funny, hu?" He asked with a smirk you got up and started running and he chased you through the glade, dogging glades and objects. They all just smiled because it happened all the time. Some even took bets who would win. Suddenly Minho was there and he tripped you making you fall "MINHO" you yelled but before you could hit the Asian boy Newt fell right on top of you. Newt. Fell. On. Top. Of. You. Was all your mind could process. You stared into his beautiful brown eyes. He starred right back and before you could process anything, before you could ask him to get up, his lips were on yours. All your mind could think was. OMFGNEWTSKISSINGME!!" Before you started to kiss back.
"It's about time" you heard and you both looked behind you to see literally the entire glade standing there. Some laughing, some with disgusted looks, but most (like Minho who was standing it the front) were smirking.
"Do you know how annoying it is having your two best friends both like each other but are two stubborn to admit it" Minho said still smirking
"Minho" you said with a dangerous look on your face "you have five seconds" you were the only person in the glade who could outrun Minho. His smirk dropped into a face of terror and he bolted the other direction.
"I'll be right back" you said to Newt and kissed his cheek then turned around and chased after Minho "MINHO GET YOUR ASIAN ASS BACK HERE!" You shouted and the whole glade cheered.
"You get him love!" Newt shouted at you
You turned your head around while still running to see him smirking and you ran faster. The sooner you caught Minho, the sooner you can hang out with your adorable British best friend or now your boyfriend.
