Alley

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Is it still raining? I never even noticed. I was too shocked by what was in front of me to care. Because there she was, on the ground in an alley like she was trash. I had gotten worried when she did not show up at the theater like we had agreed, I figured she was just running late as usual, which was weird because this was all she had talked about for the past month. Eventually after I had called her several times I left, not knowing what to do with the ring I had brought her. I was planning on purposing to her after the dinner and movie, but now she was dead.

I knew she was the one , the moment I laid eyes on her. It was the start of spring and I had just started my new job. She, of course, was the daughter of my new boss so it only made sense to wait a few months before asking her out. She had long dark hair that cascaded over her shoulders so elegantly, and her eyes were the softest blue; almost like a robins egg. And when she talked, you could hear the kindness in every part of her body.

But now, she was dead. Dead in an dirty abandoned alley, stabbed through the heart.
