A teen with tan skin and black hair groans as she struggles to make any source of magic come from her hands.

"What the hell!"she groaned as she backed away. Wong walked over as he chuckled.

"You're stifling America, and you're moving too fast,"he said as he showed how to spell a simple mirror spell step by step.

The girl named America looked at him and did the same thing as a weaker and lowly lit version of the mirror spell was revealed. She groans, slamming her foot on the ground, making a star around her and shaking the floor. She tensed. Wong crossed his arms as America sucked her teeth.

"Sorry..."she mumbled.

"I think maybe today you should stop and focus on your mental state,"he said casually. America sighed annoyed as she walked, feeling the eyes of both her superiors and peers on her.

Going to her room she flopped on the bed as she hid her face while groaning in annoyance. She closed her eyes to rest but she hated how behind she was. She could travel dimensions in a blink of an eye but not this. She groaned and slammed her hand on the pillow but she fell.

Instead of hitting the hard wooden floor; she instead hits a sandy gray surface as the sky was covered by dust.

This earth was different and rather surreal and appalling.

America sat up looking around confused. The winds blew causing dust to flow into her eyes as she inhaled some. After having a loud coughing fit she saw a figure in the distance. She ran over to see a girl covered with the gray sand as America ran over.
"HEY!"She called the girl and didn't respond. America ran over and realized the girl was in fact a child, a very young one at that.

The small toddler looked at the distance, her face wet from tears. America frowns as she bent next to the smaller child.
"Hey, what's wrong?" she said. The toddler looked at the dirt. America was about to speak when a ray of light almost blinded them. Without much thinking America scooped up the child and opened the star shaped portal and dove in. She tucked and rolled holding the child close to her. She was back in her home and was in the middle of the training field as she panted.
People walked over concerned as Wong shoved through.

"America what's wrong?"he said. America chuckled nervously as she turned and showed him the toddler. Wong's eyes widened as he sighed.

A male sat in a chair as he read a rather ancient book. A cup of tea floated by his side as he took it into his hand and soon took a sip before letting the tea float once more. Feeling a presence he closed the book and placed it on his desk as well as letting the tea float down as he stood up. While walking to the entrance his cape attached himself as he soon sees Wong and America. America had something hidden in her arms with her jacket.
"This is a surprising interruption"he greets.
"If we were surprised then you might be astonished," Wong said. America removed her jacket as an unconscious child was in her arms. Strange took a step back.
"Woah"he said. "What is that"
"It's a child-"
"No shit Sherlock but why are you showing me?"
"Well for the meantime this child will be under your care", Wong said. Strange stayed silent for a moment.
"Do I look like a babysitter to you?"he said. America sighed.

"Por que es así?" America sighed as Wong shrugged.
"Esto es solo la punta del iceberg, deberías ver como es cuando arruinas tu té favorito" wong said. America snickers.

"En serio" she laughed

"te lo puedo demostrar si quieres"wong offered.
"estoy abajo-"
"Si vas a hablar mierda de mí, encuentra un nuevo idioma" stange sighed. America and Wong paused.
"Idiotas olvidan que leo mucho en mi tiempo libre"

"I don't know how to feel about this. '' America whispered as Wong made a look as if it's not something surprising.
"Anyways back on the child where did you get it-"
"Her"america corrects
"She's a girl?"Strange said.
"Got a problem with that"America said defensively as Strange sighed.
"Not particularly,"Strange said casually.
"Good then you are to watch her,"Wong said sternly. Strange sucked his teeth annoyed as he sighed.
"Still didn't tell me where she's from,"Strange said.
"I took her from another dimension,"America said.
"Send her back"
"I can't,"she states.
"Why not"
"Her planets destroyed all that's left is rubble, '' America answered. Strange took a deep breath.
"Why can't you watch her"
"Cause i'm training-"
"Multitask-"
"And who other than the greatest wizard of the multiverse to protect this child"she said. Stange gave her a look.

"How dare you flatter me,"he said. America smirked. Strange sighed.
"Fine, I'll take the kid,"he said, pinching his nose. He flew over as America put the toddler in his arms. She was much smaller than an average toddler. Strange looked at her.
"She's dirty"
"Part of caring for her is cleaning"
"Why couldn't-"
"We have to go now, strange good luck,"Wong said as they entered through another portal. Strange hums as he sighed.
He went to the restroom and used both magic and himself to wipe down the child. He then used an old shirt and covered her. The toddler was still unconscious. Strange signs and placed her in his bed since he had to prepare one for her. Looking out the window he saw that the sun was still up as he decided to finish his book.
While reading he heard small footsteps as he felt curious eyes on him.

"Glad your awake"
