After the horrible doctors visit, you decide life must go on and it is time to enroll Tenko in school. Normality and routine slowly begins to find a place in your lives. Tenko also enjoys his first picnic
It has been a week since the doctor's visit, and Tenko finally stopped regressing in his progress with his decay quirk. It took some time but after a lot of cuddle sessions, Tenko stopped being afraid of his quirk again. The presence of the doctor's visit slowly began fading and Tenko healed again. He began laughing again and animatedly talking about his games, his collection had grown a bit. Your inability to say no to him was probably the cause, did you care, not particularly, did it hurt your wallet, a tiny bit. But as a sought after doctor with a healing quirk that didn't leave scars, your clientele mostly consisted of the wealthy and the few pro heroes who came to you for almost a cosmetic procedure. They paid handsomely and you got rid of a scar or two so their upcoming ranking didn't tank because of a scar. It was one of the reasons you found the occupation heroism to be weird, at least for those who dreamt of being a top hero.
After Tenko got better and became happier, thanks to both you, his therapist and Tenko himself, you enrolled Tenko into a nearby school which had great ratings and a no bully and quirk-use policy. So off you and Tenko went to see the school, it was private and had a lot of options for tutoring should Tenko require it. The school had a pool and a computer room, you could already guess what Tenko was going to be raving about tonight. A smile came to your face, it had been about 2 months since you found Tenko. Now as you look at Tenko happily talking to the guide and excitedly pointing out things all while tugging your sleeve and saying "look mama.." to all the new things that excite him.
So once Tenko enrolled in school, and settled in quite easily you returned to work full time. The hospital you worked at wasn't too happy at first when you told them you would like to have less hours, and only one working weekend a month. You were the sole reason their hospital had such a good reputation, no scar too big to fix or erase brought in a lot of wealthy clientele. The hospital tried to pressure you into staying, and having the same hours as before. Saying things like without us you wouldn't have a career, no other hospital would take you in with your lack of skills. The baseless accusations made you laugh, your quirk was sought after it would be easy to start up your career at another hospital. Hospitals made you offers all the time, but you had liked your workplace so much you had turned them all down. Because the hospital looked down on you and taught you to be a pushover, you quit and accepted the latest offer along with the raise it came with.
When you told Tenko that evening what had happened at work today, he laughed and said "those people are idiots, my mama is the best there is" suffice to say, you tackled Tenko in a hug for that comment. Tenko wasn't wrong, after you had accepted and started the job at another hospital it wasn't long until the old one had to file for bankruptcy. Because your presence made the hospital famous for scar removal and expert healing from you, they had let the standard drop from all the other doctors and nurses. When the public and their patients found out, they simply transferred to the new hospital you worked at.
The new hospital you worked at gave you a big bonus for getting so many cosmetic surgery patients for the hospital. They were also happy to accommodate your request to only work 8am-4pm so you could drop off and pick up Tenko, so you got used to the new hospital very fast. Tenko also enjoyed your work hours, he would get a lift to school in his mom's car and not have to take public transportation. A thing which Tenko's therapist suggested you avoid, so that Tenko wouldn't have to deal with anxiety from being squeezed in the japanese trains. Something the therapist had found in their talks with Tenko, would be likely to trigger a panic attack and subsequently lose control over his quirk.
Tenko was thankful for all you did, and it didn't hurt that the car you drove was fancy and cool looking. The other kids came to him, rather than Tenko having to start the conversation. They almost always ended up staying and talking, especially when he would show them his newest or his favorite game. Slowly but steadily Tenko forgot all about his past life before meeting you, his loving mama who always calls him honey. Who never scolds him but rather sits him down and tells him what he did wrong, and what he could do better. Like one of the times he dropped a plate, because he wanted to help set the table. With his old family his dad would have scolded him, but with his mama she just asked if he was alright and asked him to take one plate at a time with both his hands holding it.
