October 1985

A orange and gray u-haul van was parked outside the Byers House as they packed up.

The Byers and Eleven were moving to California and today had been the day everyone would say goodbye.

"🎶 Turn around 🎶 " Max, Lucas, and Beth vocalized from inside the house. "🎶 Look at what you see, in her face-" 🎶

The three, including Dustin and Ally were in the living room packing and taping up cardboard boxes.

"Next verse Ally!" Lucas pointed towards her making the girl hold a slight smirk.

"🎶 The mirror of your dreams 🎶" Ally sang, making them all laugh but Dustin stood straight faced.

"🎶 Rhymes that keep their secrets, will unfold behind the clouds 🎶" The four harmonized together.

"Wait, did we get that verse right?" Max interrupted. "It's unfold behind the clouds?"

"That's definitely it." Ally laughed.

"Yeah, whatever. But you're all butchering it, so could you please stop?" Dustin rolled his eyes.

"So then join in, Dusty-bun." Lucas blew him a kiss.

"Yeah, come on, Dusty-bun." Max continued. "Why don't you join us?"

"Yeah come on Dusty, harmonize with us." Beth taunted hun making Ally snicker.

"You guys are so funny, you should be on Carson." Dustin glared. "And please don't ruin the nickname you gave me a year ago."

The brunette haired girl shrugged, "It was never really a nickname. I called you that like three times. Well four now."

"Can't we just hear your rendition?" Max begged him.

"No."

"Please?" Beth and Max pleaded. "Just one verse?"

"No. No way." Dustin snapped at them. "It's reserved for Suzie's ears and Suzie's ears alone."

"Well then why did you sing it in front of us?" Ally taunted the boy.

"Well, because-" He was cut off when they began singing again.

"🎶 Turn around, look at what you seee 🎶 " They danced around. "🎶 In their face the mirror of your dreams 🎶 "
