Human amongst Devils (Saiki Kusuo Psi nan x Highschool DXD)

Chapter 8-Psychic's Wrath

Previously on 'Human amongst Devils': Before the rating game started, Kusuo receives a prediction of how the rating game will end  but he decides not to talk about it until necessary.  Of course he watches the match via the broadcasting room along with Sona and Tsubaki. The game starts of without a hitch with no problems whatsoever with the ORC having the upper hand with the first three pieces of Riser's peerage taken out, but it immediately backfires when Koneko is taken out through an explosion by Riser's Queen. Of course Akeno jumps into the fray and the two duke it out. Elsewhere, Kiba manages to also take out three of Riser's pieces as well thanks to an illusion trickery and catches up with Issei where they strategize along with Rias via the communication devices that they should attract the attention while she goes along with Asia to fight Riser. And expected they lured in the rest at the field but despite being outnumbered, the two combine their strengths through using their sacred gears to take them out. The celebration ended prematurely when Akeno was taken out via an explosion Riser's Queen, Kiba was the next victim of that explosion. Luckily Issei was spared and he used the opportunity to go to Riser's territory, where a battle was in progress and he used his chance to promote himself to Queen for emergencies. He then met up with Rias and Asia and along with Riser and his Queen. However things take a turn for the worse when Asia was taken out via an explosion which Issei was able to tank it with no issue but this used up his stamina while he tried to boost his sacred gear . Riser then begins beating him up ruthlessly while Issei continues to get up despite his condition, meanwhile back at the broadcasting room an annoyed Kusuo decides to leave knowing the outcome of this battle. And when he was leaving Rias decides to spare Issei's life by admitting defeat. Of course after that while Kusuo was walking down the hallway, he encounters Sirzechs Lucifer, who was Rias' older brother and he asks for a favor to save his sister. The question will he accept the favor or not?

Getting home, I realized it was now 2 am, which was seriously late. Kuriko and Amaterasu were fast asleep, cuddling each other along with the empty case of coffee jelly lying on the floor. I was too tired and pissed to complain so I just teleported to my room and locked it.

Changing into my sleeping gear, I collapsed on the bed and thought about everything happened up to this point. The prediction of how the rating game would end, the ORC members went down one by one despite having the advantage over Riser's peerage, Riser humiliating Issei and there was nothing to stop and of course my temper I threw at the student council members. 

And of course crossing roads with Sirzechs Lucifer who was Rias' older brother asking me for a favor to save her. Of course the wedding ceremony had been decided since the battle was finished and he knew a way to save her of course, I chose to think about it since I wasn't in the mood for making decisions right of the bat.

I gave a sigh and shut my eyes and fell asleep.

The next day I didn't even bother going to school. My parents didn't have a problem with that since they thought I was resting after that 10 day vacation so at least they won't be mad at me especially my mom for that matter. And as far I am concerned Issei is probably doing the same since he was brutally injured by Riser after several blows to his body so at least he would also have a reason for cutting class.

I spent most of the day in my room, gazing at the window, thinking on what I am about to do. However, my alone time was interrupted as a knock was heard from the door. I open to see both Kuriko and Amaterasu with a concerned look on their faces. 

Kusuo: What is it?

Kuriko: You haven't come down in your room all day....is something wrong?

Amaterasu: We just assumed you were tired from your trip but being quiet all day means something happened while you were away
