The next day.
Stan had invited me to go to the quarry today with him and his friends and of course I agreed because why not. It's better than sleeping all day I guess. I am currently freaking out because I don't know what to wear. Great now I'm gonna be fucking late. After about 20 minutes of throwing clothes everywhere and nearly screaming the place down I decided to just wear a blue dress with flowers on it. And of course I put a bikini on underneath because I am NOT letting boys I've only just met see me in my underwear.
After the massive strop I had over finding something to wear I set off to the quarry, when I got there the others bikes were already there so I'm guessing they've already jumped in. I guessed wrong. When I got there they were all arguing over who jumped in first clearly scared to jump. What a bunch of sissies. After taking my dress and converse off I ran past them and jumped in the water shouting "sissies" at them all.
Stans POV
Me and the other losers were currently waiting for y/n to get here so we could all jump in together. But seen as tho she's not here yet We decided to play loogie to see who jumped first. Richie and Eddie were arguing over who's was the best of course. "Oh my god that was terrible. I win!" Richie laughs. "You won?" Eddie asked him. "Yeah" Richie said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "You see my loogie? It went the farthest." God can they just shutup already. "It's not about distance it's about mass!" "What is mass?" "It dosent matter how far it goes, it's how cool it looks and if it's green or white or juicy" disgusting. After they had finished bickering . finally! I heard y/n shout "sissies" "When the fuck did she get here" Richie said. "W-We're gonna h-have to j-jump in there n-now aren't we?" Bill said clearly scared. "Yep" I replied trying not to also sound scared. I was the first to jump in after her. Then Richie. Then bill. Then Ben. Then Eddie.
Back to y/ns POV
After the boys had finally decided to jump they were all playing a game I had never heard of before. All except me and Stan. I was getting tired out from all the swimming so I decided to just go sit down at the side of the lake. After a few minutes Stan had sat down next to me but we didn't say a word to each other. That was until I caught him staring at me. "Having fun there Uris?" I said laughing a bit. "um yeah s-sorry" he replied looking away embarrassed. I just giggled and nudged his arm with mine. After about 20 minutes we decided to go sit on the rocks on the cliff. I needed to get a tan for summer so I put my towel on the floor and laid down on it and put my music and sunglasses on. After a while I could feel someone's eyes on me but when i turned around I saw all of the boys staring at me. As soon as I moved it made them all jump and turn around causing me to laugh out loud. I went and sat next to Stan to see what Richie and Ben were looking at.
Stans POV
After a couple of hours of swimming we went and sat on some rocks on the cliff. Y/n had put some music on and laid down next to the rocks we were sat on. The others were all staring at y/n but I don't blame them. She's gorgeous. After 5 minutes she sat up causing us all to jump and turn our heads round. Then richie decided to go through bens school bag. "News flash Ben, schools out for summa" Richie says in an annoying accent. Me and y/n were holding eye contact which I didn't realise until Eddie said "why is it all murders and missing kids?" What?
Back to Y/Ns POV
"Why is it all murders and missing kids?" Wait. What? "Derry's not like any town I've been in before, they did a study once. It turns out people die or disappear six times the national average." Ben explained to us all. "You read that?" Richie asked confused. "That's just grown ups. Kids are worse, like way worse. I've got more stuff if you wanna see it?" Ben asks. And so off we go to bens house I guess.
