You knocked on Eddie's screen door harder, trying to peek into the rundown trailer. How was Eddie going to invite you over and then not even attempt to let you in? You finally gave up and opened the door. You didn't want to just be rude and walk in but he wasn't coming to the door and you felt awkward outside. Plus, the neighbors were starting to stare.

"Eddie!" You yelled, standing in the middle of the living room.

"Well you finally got the balls to come in." The taller male snickered and popped around the corner, waving at you.

"You absolute jerk. You know I hate barging in." You swatted your hand at him and he laughed, catching it in his and dragging you to his room. While the rest of the house was a bit messy, Eddie's room was usually pretty organized. He has a few of his prized guitars and basses mounted on the wall and a few amps scattered around the room; he loved trying to fix them up.

"I've been working on a new song. Sit." He pushed you onto his bed and sat across from you in his broken down wheely chair, plugging in his bass guitar and tuning it up.

You smiled and watched him get into his zone, his fingers easily grazing the strings and plucking beautiful sounds from the guitar. You were always so happy to hear him play; music was important to him especially since he started his little band. You weren't the most fond of his style of music but you were happy that he was so passionate about it.

"Okay. It is still a little scratchy because I'm not used to it and if you hate it it's fine." Eddie prefaced as he shook his hand out and adjusted his grip on the guitar.

"I'm ready!" You smiled happily and rested your head in your hands, keeping a keen eye on his hands.

The melody started out slow which you didn't expect from him. It was usually hardcore sounds spewing from the amps behind you. Your ears perked up as you started to recognize the tune Eddie was playing and beginning to hum.

"Might as well face it you're addicted to love." Eddie bashfully sang and looked up at you as he continued to play, grinning away.

You squealed and jumped up, throwing your arms around his neck. He gasped, slightly taken aback but leaned into your touch, sliding the guitar away as you clung onto his neck and shook him.

"You know I love this song so much!" You giggled and ruffled his hair.

"Yeah why do you think I learned how to fucking play it? You could of let me finish before you tried to kill me." He grumbled and pinched your side. You smiled at him and kissed his forehead.

"Thank you Ed, I appreciate it."

Eddie grabbed your waist and tugged you into his arms, burying his head into your chest. When it was just the two of you he was a big softie which you liked. You sighed happily and played with his hair. You were finally content with your life and the hold he had on you, dare you say you were in love with Eddie

"Can we lay in bed?" Eddie asked as he stood up, still holding your waist close.

" 'Course, Ed."

He gently pushed you onto his bed, the black mess of bedsheets going down with the weight of you both. He smiled as he pulled you onto his chest, you instinctively snuggling into him and sliding your hand up the front of his shirt. You softly traced swirls and random shapes against his skin, making him shiver now and again from the coldness of your fingertips.

"Did you really like me playing that much?" Eddie asked.

You looked up at him and nodded, your eyes lighting up. "I love when you play Ed. It makes me so happy, even if I don't like the music per say."

He grinned heavily and slapped a hand over his eyes to cover his reddening face.

"You can't say nice stuff like that, sugar. It makes me want to finally put that ring on your finger."

This time it was your turn to blush, how could he be so loose with idea of proposing to you? You pressed closer against him and buried your head into his neck, taking in his scent. It wasn't one you had ever really been around until you met Eddie. A deep musk with hints of weed. It was nice and different and you could pick it up from anywhere.

"I love you." He cooed in your ear, kissing the top of your head and pulling a throw blanket over the two of you.

"I love you too."

The two of you laid in sweet silence, soaking up the comfort of each other. You stayed that way for hours, falling in and out of sleep as Eddie played with your hair or rubbed your back. You were so calmed by his "scary" presence that you never wanted to be apart from him again.

After a few hours you were awaken fully by Eddie strumming on his guitar, the amp shaking the bed a bit with his string the vibrations were. You sleepily listened to him play bits and pieces of other slower songs that you loved and always turned up in the car when they came on. Your heart filled knowing that he actually listened to you when you talked and made mental notes of everything you loved. You could see yourself with Eddie for a long time and with the way he talked, he could see the same.
