(Jackson's POV)
I walk into school and head straight towards my friends, but something feels.. off? I can't put my finger on it, but something's telling me that today doesn't feel right. As time goes on, Y/N still doesn't show up. As first period goes on, she still isn't here. I haven't even gotten a text. Maybe she's sick and too tired to pick up her phone? Mr. Bennett clearing his throat pulls me out of my thoughts."As you may have noticed, we are missing a student-Y/N L/N to be specific. I have heard from her brother that she's decided to continue this school year by learning virtually, and will not be coming to school from this point forward. Now, back to where we left off yesterday..." I zone out before he finishes his sentence
She's not coming back? Did that interaction with Marrisa upset her? Maybe me and the boys did something wrong. I don't know, I'll ask her about it. But I find it hard to concentrate-my mind full of thoughts about what made her leave. But I can't think of any other reasonable explanation than Marissa's antics. None of it makes sense. She only transferred here a week ago.
[time skip - lunch]
"Hey, I heard that Y/N isn't coming to school anymore. Do you know why?" Yugyeom asks me. I shake my head.
"She hasn't text me about it. I'll ask her now," I say, pulling out my phone.
Me:
Hey, why'd you decide to stop coming to school? No response. That's weird. I wait for a couple of minutes to see if she texts back-still no answer. I wonder what's going on with her..
(Y/N's POV)
This is the worst plane ride of my life. I have never wanted to sink into a hole in the ground this much. All of their eyes are on me, making sure I don't try and pull anything sneaky. I haven't moved in at least 30 minutes-not even to itch myself. I feel like if I make the slightest move, I might die. I want to get my phone so bad, but I'm scared they may pull their weapons on me. Putting my fears aside, I slowly reach down into my bookbag and go for my phone. I see a few of them on guard-just being sure I don't have anything on me. I keep my eyes up, looking from member to member. I feel around in the side pocket and finally grab ahold of it. They see that's the only thing I wanted and remove their hands from their holsters. I adjust myself slowly, propping my legs up on my seat to get comfortable. With no wifi, I can do absolutely nothing except play some random offline games I forgot to delete. They entertain me for a bit, but this plane ride was far too long for me to stay entertained. Still, I feel all their eyes burning through me. It's awful. I can't even look up, I'm terrified. I've never been more intimidated by a group of people.
Hours have gone by, and we've yet to land. We've been flying for at least 8 hours. I don't know how they don't look the least bit drowsy. I'm fighting sleep, but with them staring at me, it'd be impossible. I want to get some restso bad right now. Sure, I took a nap, but that was forever ago.
They've been sparking up conversations with each other, but completely ignoring me-acting as if I'm not also on the plane with them. What they do sounds terrible; killing people, drug deals, and all sorts of other scary things. I could never.(Jackson's POV)
It's been at least 10 hours, and she still hasn't answered. I'm really starting to get worried. She always texts back within 5 minutes. I think I should talk to her brother, maybe he'll know what's going on.
I know where she lives since I dropped her off after practice on time. The drive isn't too long, but it does take quite a bit to get there.Once I'm there, I see her brother's car parked out front. Maybe she's sick? I don't know anymore. I walk up to their front door and knock three times. He comes to the door a few moments later.
"Hey, Jackson. What's up?" He says to me.
"Nothing really, I was just wondering if Y/N was okay. She hasn't been answering my texts, and I sent one hours ago. I'm just worried about her," I say.
"Oh she's fine, I'm sure. But she's not here," He shrugs.
"Well, where is she?" I ask.
"On a plane to South Korea. She was sold to the mafia." My eyes go wide at his statement. That's why she's not answering me.
"She was sold to the mafia, why?"
"My parents needed money," I stared blankly at him. This feels like a fever dream. Am I even awake?
"Do you need anything else..?" He questioned.
"Nope, I got all I needed," I say before he stops me.
"If you say anything about this, I'll make sure to get you." He threatens. I nod and walk back to my car. Jeez..
