How do you describe the feeling the love? Just how do you know what it feels like? How long does it take to know that you love someone when you've never been in love before? What do you do? How should you act?
He finally saw an opportunity. Its like he had to take this risk or he would lose the chance. What if he didn't get a moment like this again?
Everyone was in their classroom and he had gone out to get some fresh air, you know because his teacher didn't show up and nobody really respects the substitute. He used to but not anymore, anyway, the passageways were empty and the courtyard had some leaves flying about, and he could hear the sound of water. As he looked up it was like his brain shifted into a state of shock and he could hear his heart in his ears, crazy, all in a few seconds his palms were sweaty and he forgot how to stand properly. There, washing her hands like the angel she was. She looked so cute trying to get the paint of her fingers. He could just walk by right? Nobody would know he was in his feelings for her right?
"You should try pressing harder", he said.
She looked at him, smiled, and said, "I think I'll just fix my situation at home or wait for it to go away".
He flustered. "What were you doing anyway?"
"Art class", she said. "Its funny I've never seen you there actually. I thought you and Aspen did everything together".
ASPEN. ASPEN HATED DRAWING, LET ALONE PAINTING. HE SAID IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST BORING HOBBIES IN THE WORLD. TO SIT, LOOK, AND PAINT. HE SAID IT WAS ALSO JUST AS FRUSTRATING AS MATH. ONE WRONG MOVE AND EVERYTHINGS DOWN THE DRAIN. SO WHY WOULD HE BE THERE? WHY DIDN'T HE SAY ANYTHING?
She let out a small laugh and walked away. He didn't want to mention anything to Aspen for the next few days but tried to watch his behaviour.
During the next few days he ran into her...wait... we need to give her a name don't you think? I'm thinking Amber, like the jewel, GREAT...so yeah, during the next few days he ran into Amber a lot and as the days turned into weeks he had more and more conversations with her. She wasn't the type that would talk about herself, no, she was a great listener, creative, would come up with every solution to a problem. She also didn't mind being seen with now some crusty looking boy who had blackheads so big you could see them from meters away, dried grass type of hair with old clothes. No, in fact she told him he was PERFECT, JUST PERFECT and after about one month, SHE had confessed to liking HIM.
THERE WAS NO WAY. NO WAY SOMEONE AS BEAUTIFUL AS HER WOULD LIKE SOMEONE AS AWFUL LOOKING AS HIM. WHERE SHE WAS EVERYTHING HE EVER WANTED IN A WOMAN. HIS LIFE HAD BEEN SET. HE COULD NOT HAVE GIVEN A SINGLE PIECE OF CRAP OR CARE ABOUT ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD OTHER THAN AMBER AND ASPEN. SPEAKING OF ASPEN...
