Kazutora never believed in love at first sight. However, that changed when he saw you at the park, mere days before Bloody Halloween.
He just had to approach you.
The two of you would constantly text over the next couple of days. The night before the battle, Kazutora invited you to the same park he met you at. While sitting on the swings, he asked if you'd like to go on a date some time in the future. Worrying for rejection, he'd purposely kept you oblivious about the upcoming fight and his criminal record.
When you said yes, Kazutora swore to give hus all for you. He'd win the battle. He'd destroy Toman. He was convinced you were his lucky charm.

The night after Bloody Halloween, you kept pacing around your house, worried after not hearing from your date for hours. You turned on the TV to get your mind off of Kazutora. That was when the story came up.
"—Kazutora Hanemiya charged with manslaughter. He is suspected to be serving 10 years for the murder of Keisuke Baji."
The next morning, you rushed to the local juvenile detention center, pleading to be allowed to talk to Kazutora.
The second he saw you on the other side of the glass, tears began to well up.
Placing his hand gingerly to screen separating you, he spoke, "I thought you'd hate me. I thought I'd never see you again. You should be DISGUSTED by me."
You placed your end on the other side of the glass, meeting his through the barrier.
"I'm not happy about what I heard, 'Tora. But, I still promised you a date. I'll wait as long as needed for you."
He gasped, more tears streaming down his face.
He rested his head on the wall, "I'm so sorry, Y/N. You have no idea how much I care about you. Thank you for still giving me a chance."
You smiled, "I care about you too, Tora. In the meantime, you can tell me about what exactly happened yesterday."

After serving his sentence, Kazutora was ecstatic to be released.
You had visited him almost every day. Days before his scheduled release, you promised to meet him outside of the facility.
To be the first person to hold him after being separated for so long.
A guard lead him outside, his golden eyes immediately spotting you.
He bolted towards you, trying not to crush you in the warmest hug he's ever given.
"Baby! I missed you so much." He muttered into your shoulder.
"I missed you too." You briefly parted to press a quick kiss to his cheek, "Let's go home, 'Tora. I've got a pretty good apartment for us. We can celebrate however you want."
Kazutora smirked before replying.
"How about I take you on that date I promised you?"
