Today was the day of the All-Star skills competition and you and Connor agreed that Calder was old enough to travel so here you and Calder were, getting ready to head over to the arena to watch the Skills competition. You changed Calder into an Oilers jumpsuit with his daddy's name on the back before settling him on the pile of pillows on the middle of my bed. Once he was settled, you got ready yourself, pulling on some black skinny jeans, your McDavid jersey and a pair of worn converses. You quickly pull your hair into a messy bun before getting everything ready to leave. After everything was ready, you picked up Calder and headed down to where the bus was waiting for all the WAGs.

"(Y/N)!" You hear someone shout.

You turn and see Carey Price's wife, hastily walking towards you with their daughter in her arms.

"Hey Angela," You smile, hugging the girl.

"Oh my god," Angela squeals quietly, seeing Calder in your arms. "Can I have a hold?"

You nod and pass her Calder while you get to hold Liv, her and Carey's daughter. You both board the bus and find a seat where you could chat away quietly about how everything was in your lives. The short ride to the arena that was filled with catching up with Ange. When the bus pulled up, you grabbed the diaper bag before following Ange off the bus.

"I'm going to sit with some of the girls from the Atlantic team," Ange tells you, hugging you and joining a small group of girls.

You sighed and walk to a seat next to the bench where Con was sitting, waiting for the competition to start. You were here last year but most of the Pacific WAGs you knew weren't here. Only two of last year's WAGs were here and you couldn't find them.

"Hi," You hear a voice greet.

You look and see Marc Andre Fleury's wife and two daughters standing there.

"Hi," You reply as she sits beside me.

"I'm Veronique Fleury," She introduces, holding her hand out. "But just call me Vero."

"(Y/N) McDavid," You smile, shaking her hand before waving Calder's small hand, "And this is Calder."

"McDavid's wife and son, am I correct?" She questions.

You nod, "And you are the great Marc-Andre's wife."

"Yes," She laughs, "Are you a Pens fan?"

"Yeah, grew up in Erie so obviously a Pens fan."

"Is that where you met Connor?" Vero asks.

You smile and nod, "Yeah; He hit me in the head with a puck."

A knock at the glass in front of us interrupts our conversation. You knew it was Connor because Calder was trying to reach for the glass. Connor grins and places his hand on the glass. You lean forward so you could place your hand on Connor's, then Calder places his hand on top of yours.

"I love you," Connor mouths, grinning at us.

"I love you too," You reply.

He turns back when they announce the first competition was about to begin, it being the one Connor was competing in. You were thankful Vero decided to sit with you because you would have been alone if she hadn't. It wasn't long till another lady and son join us, greeting Vero like an old friend.

"(Y/N), this is Catherine Letang, Kris' wife, and their son, Alex. Cate, this is McDavid's wife (Y/N) and their son Calder."

You smile at the woman, shaking her hand, "Nice to meet you."

The three of you sat together, Calder in your lap and the three kids standing at the glass, watching the skaters intensely.

"Up next is Connor McDavid in the Enterprise NHL Fastest Skater Competition."

You leant forward, ready to watch Connor beat Brayden Point. Calder was reaching out for his father, blubbering away. He had been close to saying his first word for a few weeks now. The whistle blew and Connor took off.

"And winning the Enterprise Faster Skater Competition is Connor McDavid with a time of 13.454 seconds. He has just won 25 thousand dollars."

You grinned as Vero nudged you, smirking lightly. "You man just won some cash."

You laugh and tell then you'll be right back. You walk over to where a guard was standing at the gate leading to the bench. You flash the guard your pass before stepping down into the crowded bench. You passed notable players, some of which waved to you or greeted you. You walked behind Mackinnon and ended up behind Seguin as Connor steps into the bench. When Connor reached Tyler and Saw you there, his smile widened, holding out his arms for Calder. You passed Calder between Nathan and Tyler, placing him in his father's arms.

"Dada!" Calder squeals, wrapping his small arms around Connor's neck.

Both Connor and yourself grinned, realising Calder said his first word. Connor couldn't stop smiling as he held his son close, bouncing him.

"I'm your favourite, eh?" Connor chuckles, smirking at you then pressing a kiss to Calder's forehead.

Tyler and Nathan both nudge you as you stood behind them. Connor went on the ice beside the bench with Calder in his arms who was babbling away. Connor was telling everyone he could that his son finally said his first word. He soon came back onto the bench, stepping behind to join where you were standing behind Tyler and Nathan.

"He said his first word," Connor grins excitedly, looking down at your son.

You couldn't help but laugh at Connor's giddiness. "Yeah, he favours you more than me."

"Well, that wasn't already obvious." Connor's sarcasm coming though. "I love you."

"I love you too." You reply, pecking his lips and lifting Calder from his arms. "Congratulations on the win as well."

"Couldn't have been a better day
