He nearly kicked the door in. The two were waiting for Flynn to stop fumbling with the keys and actually figure out how to unlock the door. Turner and David each held a heavy cardboard box filled with some of their belongings, while Flynn's box was sitting on the ground.
"Hurry up! This box is heavy." Turner complained.
"THIS THING IS IMPOSSIBLE! IT MUST HAVE BEEN ENGINEERED IN THE MIDDLE AGES!" Flynn burst out. This whole dilemma was very amusing to David.
"Turn it to the right." He said.
"I AM IT'S NOT FREAKING WORKING!"
"Your other right genius."

Flynn unlocked the door and opened it slightly, then picked up his box.
"Dude, what are you-" Turner was interrupted by Flynn literally kicking the door in. It made a loud bang when it collided with the wall.
"You are such an idiot Flynn." David said in a joking way.
"That's what makes me awesome."
"You're not awesome." Turner shot with a slight smile.
"I am so awesome!"
"If awesome means 'going to get us kicked out before we even move in' then yes Flynn. You are awesome." David replied, in a very neutral voice. This made Turner laugh, nearly dropping the box in his hands.
"You guys are jerks." Flynn stated with a forced frown.
They each walked into the living room of the empty apartment, putting their boxes down by the wall.
"Holy crap you guys! Look at this place!" Flynn spoke loudly, his voice involuntarily high.
"This place smells like cheese." David said.
"That, my friend, is what victory smells like!" Flynn said in a confident voice, placing down his box and putting his hands on his hips in a superman pose.
"How do you know what victory smells like?" Turner questioned.
"You know you don't have to be such a meanie all the time." Flynn said in a mocking tone that sounded like when they were younger.
"Fine. This place is cool."
"The view is amazing."
David and Turner started exchanging comments.
"Yeah, that brick wall is so beautiful."
"I could stare at it for ages."
"Look at the architecture in that building."
"Truly glorious."
"The sound of car horns could lull me to sleep."
"Okay shut up you two." Flynn said, his voice flat and his face full of disappointment. He slumped forward. Flynn always talked using actions.
"Our sarcasm is all in good taste my dear friend." David mocked the voice of an english gentleman. Flynn smiled, nearly laughing, but not quite.
"Okay but seriously you guys, how the hell are we going to get the furniture up here?" Turner rubbed the back of his neck.
"Can't we just leave it for tomorrow?" Flynn stretched his arms behind his head yawning.
"We need to return the truck we rented tomorrow, and we can't just leave our stuff on the sidewalk."
"Flynn, come help me get the couch." David said.
"Awwww why me?"
"It's your couch."
The truck they had was full if hand-me-down furniture from their families and stuff from a recent trip to Ikea. The couch had been Flynn's grandmothers, but she was happy to get rid of it. Flynn and David headed down the several flights of stairs to the front door, with Turner following behind. Turner had to hold the door open or else they would have been locked out considering the keys were back up in the flat. Flynn and David struggled with the couch, trying to get it through the door. Luckily they had managed by flipping it diagonally and getting Turner to hold a couple cushions. He could barely see over them and he had trouble grasping them, he may have dropped them a couple times.
He followed David who was holding the back end of the couch while Flynn was on the other flight of stairs already around the bend. They had gotten stuck a couple times and David nearly fell onto Turner at one point. They struggled for a bit and Turner was worried about the neighbours complaining about the yelling and the banging.
After back breaking labour, the couch and a few other things like lamps and side tables had made it up into the flat. There was still some more things in the truck, like clothes and chairs, but the three were so tired. Turner ran down the steps to the truck, coming back up with a bag full of some food items they brought along. David and Flynn were almost passed out on the couch.
"Well, we need to get some groceries tomorrow, so for now we just have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."
"Uhhhhhhhhh." Flynn called from the couch in an approving manner.
Turner flopped on the couch with three sandwiches and handed them out.
"Dude, I'm tho dired." Flynn mumbled, his mouth full of food.
"Don't dalk with your mouth full." David said, his mouth also full.
"Hypocrites." Turner said right before biting into the sandwich.
After finishing (which didn't take long) David and Flynn were nearly passed out on the couch.
Turner was strong, but he didn't really show it. On the outside he looked weak and useless. On the inside he had great strength and stamina, along with
cat-like reflexes.
He went back down to the truck to get more things up into the apartment.
By 9:00 Turner had everything up in the flat, and David started to gain consciousness. Flynn was still in a heavy slumber.
"Hey man, what's going on?" David slurred, half asleep.
"I just finished bringing everything up."
"What? What time is it?"
"It's 9:03"
"What... What!" David then comprehended what Turner was saying, he and Flynn napped for about 3 hours while Turner brought everything up. He started to feel guilty.
"I'm sorry man, I wish you woke me up."
"Don't mention it," Turner replied. "it wasn't even that hard, just some boxes and stuff."
"Alright then..."
"But hey, could you wake up sleeping beauty over there?" Turner indicated with his head towards Flynn.
David turned to see Flynn in an awkward sleeping position.
His head was on the couch, one arm hanging over the edge and one leg slung over the back of the couch. His mouth was open and he was drooling a bit. David interrupted the lovely scene by jabbing him in the side with his four fingers. Flynn eyes shot open and his head jerked up as he almost fell off the couch.
"WHAT THE BALLS DUDE?"
"It's 9:03." David said without emotion, while Turner doubled over in laughter.
"What?" He squinted at his watch.
"Aw dude, we have to get the boxes up!"
"Turner already did it." David stated,
"Eh? Turner, bro, you should have woke us up."
Turner was too busy laughing to respond.
"IT WASN'T THAT FUNNY!" Flynn yelled defending himself.
"It was pretty funny." David replied
"I don't see you laughing."
"Right now, I'm dying on the inside." He said with a straight face.
"Your sarcasm isn't helping."
"Yeah, because I was trying to help."
They weren't fighting, but just having a jokey discussion.
Flynn pouted.
"Guys... guys..." Turner managed to stutter out. He was reduced to tears on his knees laughing, he used his sleeve to wipe his red face. He gulped and stood to his feet still smiling, threatening to start another laughing fit.
"Alright, we should probably start unpacking."
"Yeah, you're right." David replied, picking up one of the boxes with his name on it and heading to their room before anyone else could say something. Turner followed, picking up one of his labeled boxes and walking to their room. Flynn stood there for a second, watching them go in.
"You guys always team up on me," he said with a smirk, following in their footsteps in picking up an unlabelled box and going into their room.
It was a normal sized room, enough to fit bunk beds, one single bed, 2 dressers and a closet.
"I CALL TOP BUNK!" Flynn yelled dropping the box and climbing up the ladder, making his mark on the bed before anyone could object.
"Hey," Turner said, elbowing David, "mind if I take the single bed?"
"Sure, go ahead."
"Thanks man" Turner walked over and plopped his box on the single bed.
David walked over to the bottom bunk and sat on it, laying back.
After about an hour the three unpacked their individual boxes, Flynn taking ownership of one of the dressers. David and Turner split a dresser and the closet. They had gotten into bed, and had chatted for a bit before each passing out, David being the last. He looked out the window, into the stars in the night sky before slowly descending into a nice, dreamless sleep.
