His body tense and shook as he made his way to his father's office.

How could he be so stupid? I mean really? Skipping the photo shoot for his fathers new fashion line.

He knew for sure he was going six feet under. Everything he had worked for in the past 15 years was all going to waste.

No more school, no more friends, no more freedom.

His trembling hand made contact with the cold door nob. He turns it and steps inside.

"Yes Father?" Adrien's head hung low, too ashamed to look his father in the eyes.

Gabriel wore his signature blank expression with more of a scowl pulling at his lips. Eyebrows that almost met. He was furious and shocked that Adrien would pull something so risky yet, his voice remained stern but calm. Even more frightening than the expected lecture.

"Adrien, I'm extremely disappointed in the decision you've made regarding my new line that heavily relied on that photo shoot for advertisement."

"I know father, it won't happen again."

"Do you know how much money and time has been wasted? Not only do we now have to reschedule the shoot but also push back the release date of the collection. I mean what ever could possess you to do such a thing.

"It's just that Nino really wanted me to-"

"Nino? Your...friend from school?" His eyes narrow in suspicion. Adrien lets down a large swollow before responding.

"Umm, yes sir"

"Nathalie." He turns to his right towards her and she takes her place next to him.

"Yes sir?"

"I request that during my trip Adrien does not attend school or any other activities. However it is required that he stays on top of his academics."

"But Father!"

"It appears that this Nino is a bad influence on you and I can not allow you or him to jeopardize this line any longer. Nathalie will tutor you as before."

"But-"

"It is final. You are dismissed."

As soon as the door closes Adrien stomps his way up to his room. Grounded. That's basically what he said.

He couldn't be upset with anyone but himself and he knew it which pissed him off even more.

"Can you believe this Plagg? The ten days my father is off on his business trip, I have to be locked up in this house" he expressed his frustration to his dark colored kwami as he snacked on a piece of camembert.

"It's not all so bad, at least you don't have to be bothered by Chole or face the awkwardness of seeing Kagami at fencing practice." He tried to brighten up the situation but his brain was more so set on his stomach than the situation at hand.

The house then slightly shook. The two look over at the window to see a cloud of smoke across the city. More likely an akuma of sorts.

The boy smirks as he realizes that just because he was grounded didn't mean Chat noir was too.

"Marinette, your turn" she stood up from her seat and made her way to the front of the class.

Today was the day that the class would pick partners for their final school project.

Marinette hoped that she would end up with someone competent and would not end up leaving all the work to her.

She wasn't sure how much help she could be with the request of Ladybug being on a high lately. Hopefully that won't be the case and she could be a reliable teammate.

She dipped her hand in the bowl that held the names of all her fellow classmates, some missing after being drawn already.

She pulls out a slim cut piece of paper folded to hide the name.

Her fingers open the the sheet to read the name. Her face flushed red and a small grin appears on her face as the name of her crush was written on the paper.

She looks up to notice that Adrien was not sitting at his desk. Surprised at herself that she hadn't noticed earlier.

"I'm sorry Marinette," Mrs. Bustier looked over her shoulder.

"I'm afraid Adrien won't be present this week to help you with this assignment."

"If you'd like I can assign you to Chloe and Alix's group."

"Absolutely not, it's bad enough I have to work with one loser" Chloe chimes in. "I still request to work with Sabrina"

"Like I told you Chloe, if you were with Sabrina you would barely contribute. I'm hoping Alix will at least hold you to some accountability" Mrs. Bustier explains through metaphoric gritted teeth.

"It's fine, I can mange by myself" Marinette assures.

Deep down she was worried. Why wasn't Adrien attending school? Would she be able to balance the work that of a superhero and a student?

These next few days she certainly would need some help. Luckily someone close by had nothing to do but just that.
