I sigh as I look at myself in the mirror, what do I even wear to the arcade? Opening up my closet door, I pick out something casual but cute. Blue and white plaid pants and a white crop top. Brushing out my hair, leaving it straight with texture and applying some light makeup.

I hear a light knock on my door,

"You ready?" Sasuke says from the other side.

"Yeah"

Walking over to the door, I open it to see the Uchiha leaning on the wal opposite of my room. He glances at me, a light smile grazing his lips. He, starts to make his way to the front door and I follow behind. Putting our shoes on we make our way out.

Sasuke leads us to his car, stopping at the passenger side before I could get in. He opens the car door, blank expression on his face as he looks at me to get in.

Stepping into the car, he gently shuts the door as I buckle myself in.

"Thank you" I say.

"For what?" He responds

"Opening the car door for me"

"Oh yeah. No problem"

Sasuke puts the key in the ignition and makes his way to the mall where the arcade resides.

I become silent as I internally freak out. Oh my god. I'm about to hangout with a bunch of people who are way cooler than me. I'm incredibly lame, what if this is all a jok-

I'm interrupted out my thoughts as a smooth voice speaks up,

"You alright?"

I think of what to say, I don't wanna sound stupid for being anxious.

"Ah I'm just a little nervous is all, I'm not used to hanging out with bigger crowds"

Sasuke glances at me before responding,

"You have nothing to worry about. I know my friends were idiots in high-school, but they're good people. If you start to get over-whelmed just let me know alright?"

I look at the Uchiha, hes so genuine. I could tell what he said he meant and it made me feel safe.

"Alright."

He has a reputation of being kinda cold, but he was never mean. He liked the attention, but he was never self-centered. I didn't know him too well in high-school but with just the few times we've talked I could tell he was kind. He carries his emotions in his eyes, the hint of playfulness in his voice. The playboy thing is all an act, you could tell if you just paid any attention to the guy.

We pulled into a parking space, both of us getting out. I start to feel butterflies in my stomach as we walk closer to the mall doors.

"Everything's gonna be alright"

Shocked by what Sasuke said, I look up at him and nod. No one has ever really noticed when I'm anxious except for my mom. I'm usually good at keeping it hidden, but somehow the Uchiha picked up on it. I'm flustered, but somewhat thankful.

Walking up the stairs we get to the arcade.

"YO SASUKE OVER HERE"

Both Sasukes and my head snaps at the direction of the loud voice to see Naruto. Him, Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru and Neji standing near a claw machine. God, I'm awesome at claw machines.

"Where's the rest?" Sasuke asks the group.

"Pretty much all the girls decided to ditch and go see a movie, Hinata should be back any minute though" Choji responds, and as if on que I see a small raven haired girl come up next to Neji.

"Hello Honda-San, it's good to see you" she smiles at me as she speaks

"It's good to see you too, Hyuga-san" I reply back with a smile.

"I literaly just cannot get this damn fox plushie"

"Move to the right, no not left, ri-god damn it naruto"

Watching Naruto and Kiba at the claw machine gets a giggle out of me, they both turn their heads towards me, with annoyed looks.

"May I?" I ask gesturing to the machine

"Have at it" Naruto responds as he slides his token card.

Using the stick I carefully eyeball the perfect position to put the claw, I press the red button as the claw slowly goes down. The group of boys and Hinata watching anxiously

"Come on, come on, come on," I hear Narutos stressed voice say.

The claw grabs onto the fox plush.

"YO" the group yells

"Hell yeah, thank you Naomi! You're like the claw master"

I laugh a little and flush as I realize how much attention was on me.

Sasuke offered to get our cards, and after a little bit of arguing he finally won, and put some money on one card for us to share.

The entire time Naruto was having me play all the claw machines, at some point making it a competition in which he lost. But the trash bag of stuffed animals I gave him made up for it.

Finally we decided to leave the arcade and get some food. Thang god, I was starving.

We went to Ichirakus which was just outside the mall, sitting down and placing our orders, Kiba speaks up.

"So, you're living with Sasuke?"

"Yeah"

"How's that going?" Shikamaru asks.

"Not bad honestly, I'm glad it's him than some rando creep. I guess I lucked out In a way".

Looking over at the Uchiha I see a faint smile on his face.

"Same here. I was afraid I'd get some fan-girl with me, unless-" Sasuke side eyes me

"Absolutely not"

His group of friends laugh.

"You know how many people would wanna be in your position right now?" He playfully argues back
I turn towards him in the booth,

"I mean you could always find another room-"

"Absolutely not" he cuts me off and I laugh a bit.

"Wow Sasuke actually doesn't mind sharing a space with someone?" Neji joins in on the conversation.

"She's not annoying unlike all of you" Sasuke says back. Kiba and Naruto grab at their hearts and make a sad noise and the rest just roll their eyes.

"Whatever it is Sasuke, im glad you got a good roommate" Naruto says,

Sasuke hums in response as the server brings our ramen out.

These people, I put on a pedestal all through-out our school years. And sure they didn't let just anyone in, but they're actually just people.

Sitting here in this booth I realized I didn't get anxious once. Eating my ramen, I internally thank Sasuke for letting me hang out with him and his group of friends.
