Chapter 6: Seeing The Sights In California

"Good morning " said my mom "Morning" said Kyoto "Do you know what today is?" Said my mom

'What could it be a anniversary? A birthday? I don't know I'm not a mind reader! tell me woman!'
"What is today?" I said exhausted "It's moving day today!! Aren't you excited to see your new school and friends" she said trying to excite me " Sorta of, but you did a great job with your spirit" I said "Well I am going to call Sora and then I will get packed, then I will come downstairs ok mom?" I said.

"Hello Sora" said Kyoto "Guess what today is?" She said "Moving day" said Sora, I don't know why but she sounded a little sad, but I knew that there was no way she was admitting she was lonely " Yeah and promise me that when you get to your house you will text me ok Sora?" I said "Yeah yeah" said Sora.

As I packed my clothes I thought about California 'I wonder if the kids there will like my clothes? I wonder what I should wear?. Will California be the same as Tokyo?. In others words beautiful. I guess I will have to find out when I get there' is the only thing I can say.

" Flight 307 is boarding ,flight 307 is now boarding" said the person over by the chairs "Kyoto hurry up!! We don't want to late for our plane" my mom said "Ok mom I'm coming" I said trying to keep up with her

"Ladies and gentlemen please do us a favor and turn of all electronic devices as we will taking off in a few minutes thank you and enjoy your flight on American Airlines" said the flight attendant. Doing what I was told I felt sleepy "Be prepared to be bored" I said closing my eyes and falling asleep.

A few hours later, I woke up but kept my eyes shut trying to return to my peaceful dreams until I heard voices

Very familiar voices

"Sunhi do you think she is ready for us to tell her"said somebody who sounds like my dad. " Dari I think we need to give her time before we tell her" said somebody who sounds like my mom
(Remember these things Sunhi is my mom's name and Dari is dad's name)

After a little while more of sleeping I heard "We are now landing please get your things ready and pack up. Thank you for on American Airlines" said the flight attendant

After that we got in the Calfornia airport I have to admit I am very excited to be here. It's expirence, school and place all in one! As we waited for our bags to come through the confeyor belt I looked in the airport. Nothing really different looks pretty much excepted for everyone's clothes. Then we got our bags and headed out the door of the airport

Wow all I can think is wow. California is really something. Palm trees and celebrities sitings and bus tours. I think I'm going to live here. California. But probably not at my school
So me and my parents drove around a bit looking at all the cool California, has to offer us. Then we pulled up on a nice house. It has a brick walkway and a brownish orange painted all over the house except the windows and roof. The roof is painted a pale yellow and windows are such plain, old white.

"Ok Kyoto are you ready to see the house" said my mom "Yes I am way excited" I said, but secretly I still wasn't very convinced

'Oh my gosh! I am blown away by this house! How did my parents afford this? They couldn't afford this in a million years!'
