Chapter 31 part 1 wait, what?

Kyoto's P.O.V

I heard a gasp.BAM went an object!

There was a few moments of silence. It was weird.

"No, no, no! This can't be happening! Why did happened to you? But the most important question of all is, Who did this to you?!

I knew that voice from anywhere. It was Kuro, my heart hurt with just the sound of his voice.Well at least we were together. But something tells me... Something in my gut tells me...

Knock, knock went the door.

I saw an officer before my eyes.

Oh no! This can't be good...

I felt my eyes getting heavy once again.

Everything after that was nothingness.

Kuro's P.O.V

My throat went dry at the sight of him. Luckily clearing my throat helped a little bit. "Officer, how may I help you? ".

"Well, you see it's of a long story. Let's just say that I was in the middle of a chase pursuit, unfortunately the guy got away. It happened somewhere around here, I knock on people's door asking if they have seen This man."
I held out a picture of him for me to see.

Richard. I recognized that face anywhere.

"So, yeah. That's why I'm here. Have you seen this man by any chance?" I could see his eyes gleaming with hope. I knew he wanted to get Richard. I know the feeling  man.

"Yes, I have but.. I was a long time ago. Sorry."

"It's fine."

His eyes trailed down to Kyoto, he looked scared at what he saw before him." Do you why she looks like this?"

"No I don't. I wasn't here when happened."

"What caused her to be like this?"

"I don't know. I wasn't here."

"Can you bring her parents in here please? I need to talk to them about this?"

"Yes."

I found Kyoto's parents in the living room, watching tv. How I met your mother to be exact.

"Umm, Mr. and Mrs. Spain?

"What is it, Kuro?"

I could feel the tension in the air as they waited for me to respond. I looked up to see Kyoto's eyes filled with curiosity. That emotion was going to be replaced with another one, soon. I knew it for a fact.

I took a deep breath, and told her.

"There's a police officer at the door. He wants to ask you guys some questions."

"Why?"

"I don't know. Just come with me, it's important."

Ok, let's go."

Yes! It worked! I mentally high five myself.

My stomach felt queasy as we approached the police officer. When ever a police officer comes to your or friend's house in this case, it can't be good. Well, it could be its just not luckily.

Mr. Officer met Kyoto's parents. They said the usual greetings to one another. Then, everything got all serious. It was strangely quiet. Mr. Officer clears his throat to break the silence, and said" Mr. and Mrs Spain, come with me please. I'd like to ask you some questions about your daughter.

To fill the time, I went to their living room to watch tv. As I was flipping through the channels, nothing really seemed to interest me. I gave up on that and decided to read a book from upstairs.

Scanning over the bookshelves, I found one. Inside in my head, I was yelling Yes!. On the outside though, I was quiet as a mouse.

The book was pink and purple and had hearts all over it and a few smiley faces here and there. I turned to the first page and it read,

Dear Diary,
Today at school I play with my friends.

Wait, is this even her's?

I went to the last page and found her last entry. It was just a few days ago.

I shouldn't do this. I have already done enough bad things in my life as it is.
And I don't want to make her mad.

Sighing, I put the book back and reached for another. I found one about dinosaurs.Sitting down on the chair, I got down in the chair and started to read.

A little while later...

"Kuro!" Can you come down stairs please? We have something we need to tell you!" Yelled Kyoto's mom.

My hands started to get sweaty as so as she said that. As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I braced myself for what she was going to say.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Kyoto's  going to jail. Those sleeping pills she took were drugs. But, also made her unconscious. I'm so sorry."

I stared speechless at her. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to run away. But my legs couldn't move for some reason.

My love was going to jail.
