One week later
Argus POV
"Ninong, let's go faster! I'll be late na!"
Argus chuckled at the enthusiasm of his godson Joshua. He's walking him to his classroom dahil nakiusap si Martin na isabay na niya sa pagpasok sa school ang mga anak nito.
So here he is, accompanying the 9 year-old son to his classroom. Joshua's sister, Kylie already went ahead of them to the highschool department.
She's already 15 years-old kaya naman she can take care of herself.
"You won't be late, it's still early— teka nga bakit ba masyado ka ata' excited pumasok? Hindi ka naman ganyan dati." He asked the boy and he noticed him blushed.
"Teka nga, may crush ka siguro sa classroom niyo ano?" He teased and he got more red in the faced.
"No! But I have a new classmate and I'm her only friend! She always come to school early and I don't want her to be alone." Defensive na sabi pa nito.
"That's nice of you Josh. Sige na, let's hurry so you can be with your friend." He said and lead him to the corridor.
The truth is, sobrang aga pa talaga but he had to bring Joshua earlier because the highschool department and the elementary department are on the different side of the campus.
Masyadong malayo at ma late pa siya kung hindi nila aagahan.
Martin and Pops had been separated for 5 years now, they had a set-up that Martin will have the kids every two weeks, and it's Martin's turn to watch the kids at nagkataon naman na may out of town meeting ito kaya nakiusap sa kanya na isabay na ang mga bata.
Wala naman problema sa kanya, he really enjoys the company of the kids.
Which made him wonder— what if, sarili niyang anak ang inihahatid niya sa school?
He shook his head, kung natuloy ang kasal niya hindi rin siya sigurado if he can be a good father nung mga panahon na yun.
He almost had nothing then. Maybe his accident was a blessing in disguise too. He wasn't ready then, but for sure he is now.
"Amalthea!" He was surprised when Joshua suddenly shouted. Hindi na niya namalayan na nasa tapat na pala sila ng classroom nito.
Eksakto din na nakita niya na may dalawang estudyante na paparating, he knows the older girl, it's Cassandra, Sharon and Gabby's daughter but the younger girl— she looks familiar but he cannot recognize her.
Napansin din niya na tinititigan siya nito. He gave the kid a nice dimpled smile and the kid mirrored his smile. She too had a dimple like his.
Somehow, it warmed his heart.
"Hello, Tito Argus!" Cassandra greeted him ag nag mano sa kanya.
"Cassandra, what are you doing here?" He asked and let the two kids enter the classroom.
"Inihatid ko lang po yung pinsan ko. Her older brother is new here as well, pero hinayaan ko na siya isabay ni Luis." The sixteen year old answered.
"I see, sige na sumabay ka na sa akin pagbalik sa highschool department." Aya niya sa dalagita.
Advisory class niya ang seniors which Cassandra and Luis are. Kylie who is a year younger ay magiging student pa lang niya next year.
"Sige po Tito." He lets her call her Tito kapag nasa labas sila ng classroom.
He was about to walk away when Karylle arrived, she's the adviser of Joshua's class and also became his friend when she started teaching here.
"Ma'am Kei!" He greeted.
