Dear diary,
We flew to Portugal today. I sat next to Trent on the flight and we read the match of the day magazine together. Tyler and marcel were on the other aisle and our mums and dads were in front of us. We had a man next to us who saw us talking about the magazine and asked us if we were big football fans. I said yes and he asked if I played."Only with Trent." Trent laughed and said I was really good and should play with a club, but I told him I was busy with dance and hockey. When we landed the weather was boiling and the sun was shining really brightly. The hotel room was massive and me and Trent begged for ages to be able to share a room. Finally the adults agreed, and we set up his poster of Steven gerrard, mine of one direction and a den made of pillows while everyone else unpacked. Dianne finally agreed to take us to the sea with my mum so we quickly got changed and ran down to the beach. It was warm and we played in the sea for hours and then we did family volley ball, but we took Tyler to have equal numbers on the teams. Then we went for dinner. On the way back to the hotel Trent bought me a bracelet from a corner shop and he said I have to wear it forever. My mum didn't want him to get it because it was his money, but he said it was very important. We agreed that I'll wear it forever as our own friendship bracelet. Dad said I should get him something in return so I bought him a small surfboard key ring. He said he would put it on his boot bag as a good luck charm. Trent says I've been writing for ages and he wants to play in the den before bed so I have to go now. LoveDemi x

Dear diary,
We started secondary today. The school is massive and I don't think I'll ever find my way around. There are a few nice girls in my form, but Trent isn't in the same form as me so I don't see how I'll ever enjoy school. He says we'll have to settle with meeting at break and lunch, but lessons are going to be so boring now. Trent says he's going to drop out of school as soon as he can to focus on his football. I told him he's good enough already, but he told me to stop lying to make him feel better. They played wolves yesterday and I was sat in my usual seat, and I saw Trent's crush Mia watching in one of the corners. I wanted to tell Trent about it after the game but he went home with one of his teammates instead of waiting for me. I had to walk home by myself, but I didn't really mind. I told him today instead, and he said he already knew, and it wasn't that big of a deal. Trent thinks I talk about Mia too much. I tell him it's just friendly teasing, the kind of thing best friends do to each other. We went for ice cream on the way home from school today. Strawberry and cookie dough have been our thing forever and the day wouldn't be complete without it. I think Trent's going too hard on himself, he told me he might even stop eating ice cream so he can become fitter. He's only 12, but he trains as hard as any professional and goes on ridiculous diets. He says I wouldn't understand, and I guess he's right, but still. I dont think he should push himself that much. He has tickets to anfield on Saturday for the game against United, but he's not going with me like we normally would. He's bringing two of his football friends instead. He told me he knew I would understand, but it's one of their birthdays and he wants it to be just them. I pretended I didn't care. He's just busy at the moment, but our friendship will be back to the same soon. I know it.
