Graduation Day! (Part 1)

Author note: Part 1 because I dont want you guys to read the longest chapter in your lives. Also because im a lazy person. The book will be from Hailey's perspective :> Enjoy! 

Students burst into the gym wearing their long black gowns and graduation cap. It was the last day of high school. The room was bustling with college names and spirit merchandise. I was one of the people sitting in a corner. Alone.

Let me explain. You see, I couldn't find anyone. At least I didn't want to. They were probably here somewhere. Besides, I was playing Candy Crush on my phone. '

I heard the mic tap and an eerie sound echoed across the room.

"Sorry, heh." someone said. I looked up to see the principal adjusting the height of the stand. "Can all graduating students please go sit on the bleachers?"

I groaned as I lifted myself and walked across the gym. I took a seat in the front and looked around to find my friends.

"Did they not graduate?" I thought to myself. "Ah now im craving food." I got up and walked over to the food counter. I took a slice of pizza and sat back down. I started to chow down the pizza. 

"Hey." 

I started choking on my pizza. "Maybe I shouldnt have been eating at that pace..." I thought. I look up and see Jake standing there with his outfit dragging behind him. He took a seat next to me and I pointed out how his outfit was looking like a wedding gown.

"Oh um yea that" he said. He fumbled to get up and looked like a dog chasing their own tail. I started laughing and he looked at me like that.

"Oh nooooooooooooo!!" I screamed. Everyone turned their heads to us and I looked away. I was as red as boiling tomatoes. 

 I looked at him.

And he looked at me.

And I looked at him.

And he looked at me.

Then we burst out laughing and flopped down on the chairs. I glanced over at him laughing and realized this was the perfect time.

"Jake I-"

"Okay lets begin the ceremony please be seated and no talking."

I screamed inside as I turned my head to the stage.

"I just wanted to say that this batch of students have been very perseverant, creative, intelligent, diligent and dedicated. I was so glad to have all of you in my school for the past 4 years. It was been a pleasure. I am now going to give out awards. You will receive two. One academic wise and one personality wise. I will also hand yall your diplomas. We will be going in alphabetical order by last name. 'Kay?" 

My stage fright was mostly gone now, but since I had to make a speech as valedictorian I was really nervous.

I just  nodded and took a deep breath. 

Okay thats it. Thats part 1. I will try my very hardest not to make this as god dang cringey as the last. And plus I have been gone for a very long time now and its about time I make another one. I definitely did not get this idea when I was up at 2 am and could not sleep. I hope you guys enjoy this story just as much!! Goodbye! :D
