"Keira" i yelled "can you come here"
"Coming" she replied and soon enough she came in the room followed by Narla. Narla jumped up on the couch and wriggled between us before falling asleep
"Everything alright?" Keira asked
"Um, I'm not too sure how to say this" i fidgeted with my rings for a moment
"City aren't offering me a new contract" I looked down avoiding seeing her face
"WHAT????" Keira shouted waking up Narla
"Sorry Narla" she rubbed her head and focused back on me "why aren't they offering you a new contract?"
"They told me 'footballing reasons' the fa cup final will be my last game" i said finally looking at Keira
"That's ridiculous, what are they thinking" keira snapped
"It's alright kei, there isn't anything we can do about it" I placed my hand on hers and caressed her thumb
"This is so unfair" she sighed "where are you going next then?"
"I have a few options, let's not worry about that now. Let's enjoy the final"

The final whistle went and I collapsed. 180 minutes of football only to lose. My final game for city and nobody knew. After a few minutes I got up and congratulated the chelsea players before we received our 2nd place medals. We walked back onto the pitch and Keira didn't leave my side
"This is so wrong" she muttered
"What do you mean?"
"This. Your final game. Us loosing"
"Let's not talk about that" i dismissed aware of the cameras and players around us
Once the chelsea players lifted the trophy we went round and clapped all the city fans. It was bittersweet, I wasn't the only player leaving and it felt as if the fans knew. We went back to the changing rooms now aware we had a week and a half before we prepared for the euros.

"I've decided" I said to Keira as we ate dinner
"Okay" was all she said waiting for me to continue
"San Diego" i stated
"Oh"
"I'm going to fly out tommorow and then meet you in LA"
"Okay" keira then stood up and left. I put my head in my hands. This was awful. I wanted to play with Keira for the rest of my career but I could never ask her to leave city, it was her team.

"How did it go?" Keira said not even looking up from her phone. She had been blunt with me since I had told her.
"It went well" i sighed and collapsed on our bed. We weren't due to meet leah and Ellie until later so we decided to just stay in our hotel room. Keira hummed in reply.
"You know this isn't my fault?" I spoke up fed up of being ignored
"Yeah I do"
"Then why are you being weird with me?"
"Your about to move across the world away from me and I'm slightly annoyed by it" keira said sarcastically
"But it's not like I'm choosing to do it"
"You could at least try and stay in Europe" keira murmured
"I can't choose who want me Keira, you know that" I said growing increasingly frustrated
"Whatever" she left. I didn't know where she was going but I had no energy to chase her. Jet lag was becoming a problem and I wanted to sleep. I hadn't even told her if I had signed or not.

Breaking: Lucy bronze signs 2 year deal with San Diego wave

I smile at the screen. I could now settle down for a while and not worry. I had been in San Diego for 3 weeks now and it was good to finally put pen to paper. I put my phone down and grabbed my keys before driving to the airport.
"Hey" i said softly as she walked over
"Hi" she burried her face in my neck "I'm so sorry" her voice was muffled
"I know, we've done this before we can do it again" i pulled away and smiled at her
"I've missed you" keira said
"Come on" i grabbed her suitcase and started walking out the airport "We have 2 days before you leave, we need to make the most of it"
"I love you"
"I love you too"
