Chapter 2 Jones's Divorce Papers

It was a dark night that day in WingSoar. The rain cleared making everything damp and cold. The streetlights flickering without anyone to fix them. A car drives by the city, it was dark red with the headlights highlighting the car. There was a man in the car looking around for something. The car stopped and turned on its blinkers. The car turned into a driveway, lit with garden lights. The garage door opened with just a flick of a button. The man stepped out of the car, bringing some bags in with him. He flicked the button again, closing the garage door. As he unlocked the car, he called someone's name. " Chloe!" "I am home!" It was quiet after he called her name. He went into the dining room and set the bags on the table. He grabbed a coffee mug and started filling it with leftover coffee from the coffee maker. He tossed his shoes off to put on slippers. He walked up stairs to get to his room. Slowly making it up the stairs. He heard something. It was his wife, Chloe. Scared he quickly made it to his room. He slowly opened the door. He saw something he couldn't unsee. He ran away down to the living room to calm down. Then Chloe walked down the stairs. To her surprise to see him she said "Hun, your home early!" She said scared. "Yeh." he said. "Jones tell me, if I bought a new ring would you be mad?" She asked. " No, why?" Jones asked, waiting for an answer. "Oh, well I bought a new one, because the old one broke." Chloe said. " Thanks for telling me Hun." Jones thanked her. They both went to bed. The next day Jones woke up to see Chloe wasn't there. Jones got up and got dressed. He wore a white t-shirt with shorts. He slipped on his slippers and walked downstairs to see Chloe sitting on the couch. "Hey Hunny!" Chloe said softly. "Hey." Jones said tired. Jones sat down at the dinner table to see the bags are gone. "Did you take care of the bags?" Jones asked. "Why, yes I did" Chloe said. Chloe got up from the couch to set a plate of eggs in front of Jones. "Now eat!" She spoke. Jones ate his eggs. Jones got up to rinse off his plate, but Chloe took it before it even touched the water. "Hunny! Let me do the dishes!" She said while washing the dishes. Jones asked her "Why are you treating me like a kid?" Chloe responded "Oh! I'm doing you favors!" "Oh." Jones said quietly. Jones got up to watch the news, but Chloe stopped him. " You shouldn't be moving around too much! relax, it's your day off!" "Ok! But I can take care of myself!" Jones said irritated. Jones left the room angry. Chloe looked at him and grinned devilishly. Chloe walked quietly into the tv room. She bent down looking under the sofa. She grabbed something. It was blueish green. With an opening throughout the middle. She opened it, to see a ring. It was a beautiful diamond ring, perhaps a thumb ring
