Ok, well we're off to school. Have a great day girls. Our parents wave off to us. On the other side Zed is just as excited for the first day of school and is planning on joining the football team, they are hyped for their first day of school and Jason too. This is gonna be MY year. Maybe.... 

When the zombies approach the gates I turn and see another boy that has the same eye color thing going on with me and I wonder if he's the other half of the missing link that I also follow. I guess I'm about to find out. I'm walked into school and escorted down to the basement by the principle. Got another one for you. She says tossing me into the room of zombies.

Why are you down here? Aren't you a human? One of the girl students asks me. I show off my wrist and pull my custom made zombie jacket out of my bag. She's.... I'm Farrah I'm the mayors daughter or one of them. But they call me the missing link. We've got our own one of those. Hi I'm Zed. Nice to meet you. The girl that questioned you is Eliza this is Bonzo and our missing link is.... Hey there I'm Jason the pleasure is all mine.

Because I'm really more zombie than human but just human enough to be on the human side of things I can tryout for things and leave the basement but I'll be taking classes with you guys. The only difference about my Zband is that I can swipe left and nothing bad will happen to me but if I swipe right I get all your all's invincible super strength.

And to hope to gain any form of trust.... While I'm away from humans I pause and take my blue contact out to leave the different eye colors and then take my blonde wig off. I shake my hair out and run my fingers through it. I know she told you to not leave the basement but what fun would that be. All you gotta do is lie to get out. If you want to join a club all you gotta do is try and tell them that no one reminded you.

Make it through one day without a Zombie shelter I'll be good. Hm.... Upstairs on the left giant Z with the loud alarm next to it on your left.

I hope that won't be a problem either. But after classes on my way to theatre auditions I slip the contact back in and put the blonde wig back on and put my jacket away. I pull Jason with me as we sneak out of the room and once we're gone Zed follows. But then when the alarms go off Zed runs away not to get attacked and finds the zombie safe room where I said it would be.

What's that? Jason asks me. Quick into the Zombie safe room. Then I see Addison. Hey Farr's. On your way to cheer tryouts Addi? Yeah but first I'm coming in here. After you. Someone's in here. She whispers. Yeah Adds about that.... Sh. Hello? Hello? Why hello? Don't get any ideas buster only thing worse then my high kick is my low kick. Sorry, sorry this just wasn't how we pictured our first day of school going?

Being trapped in a zombie safe room? Nah that kind of thing happens to us all the time. A little friend warned us about this place. I was that friend I whispered to Addison. I came out to meet a pretty girl. Jason says. I blush but I'm glad its dark so no one can tell. You think so? You guys have met? Before we answer that we're not gonna get low kicked are we? You're safe for now.

Good cause we're both kind of having big days today. I'm trying out for the football team and my friend here is auditioning for the play. Cool so is my sister. And I'm actually trying out for cheer. That's cool that must be tough though. It is but I love it I've been in cheer camp since forever. Yeah tell that to our room. I grunt sarcastically. Really? My dad doesn't even think I'm gonna make the team. Yeah and I'm not sure I'll make it past auditions.

What? No way all you need is someone to cheer for you and soon fingers crossed that will sorta be like my job and even though Farrah's not a cheerleader she's sure to be cheering for you on the sidelines too for that theatre stuff. I'm Zed this is Jason we've met Farrah already. All clear. The lights go back on and Addi's first instinct is to punch a zombie in the face but then she apologies right away.

OMG I'm so sorry Zed good thing Farrah pulled me away when she did before I could punch you Jason. But we were always taught that zombies were disgusting dead eye freaks, but neither of you are actually hideous at all. Thanks I guess we'll take what we can get. Right Jason? Jason just smiles up at me. Our parents haven't trusted a zombie ever since one bit part of our grandpas ear off. Yeah but now we'll just talk your ear off. Zed teases.

And they smile up at each other too as we lighten the mood with a little zombie humor. But we get interrupted....
