The Creek Kingdom Is In Danger

The Creek

I've been living here since I was little. It's been peaceful. I would always play with my friends and gather materials for the rest of the kingdom. But lately, it seems like things are getting worse.

But before we get into all of that let's take a step back. I'm River. I'm 14 and I love the Creek Kingdom. We believe we should have fun and be nice and natural with everyone. The only rule is to. NEVER BETRAY. The last person to betray the kingdom had gone missing. They are still out there somewhere, cold and hungry.

"Hey, River! Are you ready to gather wood?" A voice from afar had called out. Must have been Dragonfly. We were going to work together today. He has never learned, which is very surprising for a 13 year old like it.

Spring has finally arrived. However, this is also one of the busiest seasons of the year. WIth all of the rain we are going to have we have to build higher up. While all of us teens and adults are gathering materials, the kids are making activities and games they can do on rainy days. On the other hand this is also the time of the year when the Treetop Kingdom gets a break. But that also means that they can get really loud which leads to the workers getting distracted and slows everything down. This is one of the many reasons why Creek Kingdom doesn't like Treetop Kingdom.

" I found. the perfect tree! Come over here!" Dragonfly shouts and then immediately rushes off. He tends to do that a lot. I quickly follow him before I lose track of where he went.

"Um..River, there might be a problem!" Dragonfly had said. Only a few feet away but there were too many trees in my way I couldn't quite see him that well. I walk around a tree and see it. Standing face to face with a Treetop Kingdom citizen.

I ran in front of Dragonfly before they could get to him. "What do you want?" I say glaring at them.

"Listen I don't want any trouble but you can't come over here trying to cut down trees!" They responded as they took out their dagger ready to fight me if I got any closer.

I hold up my hands, "I'm not here to fight but I'm sure this is the Creek Kingdom's territory."

"Yeah! I'd always go there with some of my friends a few years back! This is ours!" Dragonfly walked to the side of me. "You can't just take our territory."

I look over at Dragonfly, surprised by what he just said. I never thought that it would say something like that. It usually stood back and let the conflict go on around him, but this was a change of pace.

"Well some things change." The citizen responds glaring right into Dragonfly's eyes.
