Chapter 2 The Storm
The thunder had woken me up. 2:00 a.m. I can't believe the storm had already started. I didn't get enough wood for everyone. I didnt get any wood at all. There are probably houses flooding right now all because of me. And what am i doing? Laying in bed?
I get up and put on new clothes. I grab blankets and put them in a basket. I then grab two buckets. I put my rain boots on and walk out the door making sure to close the door silently so I don't wake up Dragonfly.
The first place I go to is Pebble's house. He has been living on his own ever since his parents had to go to the far side of the Treetop Kingdom. As I'm walking to his house I notice a shadow staring at me behind the trees. Im probably hallucinating.
I continue walking over to Pebble's house. I come across huge puddles making it hard to walk around. By the time I get to Pebble's house I won't be able to go in because of how muddy my shoes are. I look down at my shoes once more to see a chain below my foot. I set the buckets down so I can grab the chain. I pick it up and find that its actually a locket. I really shouldn't open the locket but my curiosity gets the best of me. Inside I see a picture of Queen Tide and someone I've never seen before. I put it in the basket and grab my buckets.
I reached Pebble's house. I see him sitting outside of his house. "Are you ok buddy?"
I know this was really short but I still wanted to post something. I'm sorry it's been so long a lot of stuff happened and I didn't have any motivation to write. Even if this isn't very long I still wanted to give you guys something. I hope everyone's doing well.
