"Take care of my daughter, love her as your own." A black wolf stated, setting her newborn pup at Vengeance's paws. "She'll grow to do great things." The she-wolf disappeared into the moonlight leaving Vengeance and the small pup alone in the dark forest.

Fast Forward 5 months.

"Minka!" Vengeance called out, unable to find the black pup anywhere. With stealth Minka slittered through the thick undergrowth and pounced onto Vengeance. "Got-cha!" She called out as she rolled onto the floor.

"It's not funny, we have to continue training. Come now." He nudged the pup and they both continued towards the training-grounds. "Now show me what you remember." Instantly she sprinted towards Vengeance and ducked under the wolf, clawing softly at his underbelly before he could react. She stopped herself near a bush, digging her claws into the ground.

"Good job, Your learning quickly." He praised. "Now show me your ambush tactic." Minka climbed the nearest tree and kept hidden with the leaves, she dropped down and landed precisely on Vengeance's back. "I drop down to surprise the enemy!"

"Hurry on home I'll catch up soon.' Minka ran off and Vengeance made his way towards the moonstone, a sacred place where wolves go to speak with their ancestors. "Midnight." He called, staring at the glowing crystal. "What's so special about Minka? She's just an ordinary pup." He waited for an answer before the black she-wolf appeared once more. "The moon harnesses the power of a god, blood and death will out-rule it all." Midnight disappeared to leave Vengeance with the prophecy. "The moon harnesses the power of a god..? What?" He muttered.
