Dumaguete City, Philippines

It's already 8pm and my back felt stiff after sitting with this papers for seven hours now. I don't have work at Bob's since it's a Thursday.
I am doing my thesis and I'm so engrossed on the screen of my laptop when  a knock on the door halt my train of thoughts. I am really cramming to make it through the deadline since I've been mostly distracted these past few days and I haven't made any progress on it since the incident in the bar.

Annoyed by the persistent intruder, I immediately greeted whoever is on the other side of the door with a scowl.

"What??!"

"Uh .. hi?"

O__O

He gently rubbed his palm on his nape as he look at me sheepishly, flashing me his signature million-dollar smile.

Dub. Dub.

What is he doing here???

I just got my head to finally work today after so many days of just thinking about him and now he's showing himself on my doorstep like an expected visitor??

'Dear Lord! Please give me a break! my thesis is a matter of life and death to me, okay??

'tss.. the thesis can wait."

With all of my acting powers I could gather, I raised my brow as I showed him a what-are-you-doing-here look.

He seem to be unfazed by my hostility as he smoothly takes his shoes off using his toes and made his way towards the couch where he slept last time.

My eyes widen in horror as his actions sinks in to me finally.

"Hey!! Hey!! Get out! I don't remember inviting you in!" I shouted, but he simply smirked and slumped down to the sofa.

I want him to go inside, of course. But at the same time, the thought of just the two of us inside my closed space is nerve-wracking!

I heard him heave a deep sigh as he briefly closed his eyes then opens  them back again.

"What am I even doing here?" He asked, his fingers harshly running through his short hair.

For a second I want to give him a sarcastic response because seriously? I don't know just why he's suddenly here. But I realized he was more like asking himself instead of me.

He exhaled another loud sigh and now I got curious.
His eyes are bloodshot and has bags underneath.

"Hey, are you okay?" I can't help but ask. Yes, he just barged into my place uninvited, but for some reasons, I don't feel violated at all. I even felt comfortable with his presence. Besides, just one look at him and I know something is wrong.

"Yeah. I... I.. uhm..." I think he is having a hard time grasping for words and as much as I want to know his answer, I also don't want him to feel pressured to share something he can't. So I cut him off.

"You don't need to explain yet. I'll prepare something for you so just stay put. Feel at home." I gave him a reassuring smile as I piled the papers scattered on the small glass table then I saved the document I typed on my laptop.

"I'll make you something to drink. Do you want coffee or orange juice?"

He looked up to me, his tired black orbs studying me like I have grown two heads.

"No, uhm I really shouldn't be here. Sorry for disturbing you. Just finish what you are doing." He stood up and fixed his tie, his gaze on the scattered papers on the table in front of the couch, surrounding my laptop.
