"Today, we are here with Hanagaki Takemichi-san, and Briones Nakano-san! Thank you for taking time off of your break to talk with us!"
"No problem!" Nakano beams, while Takemichi nods and smiles along with her. "It's kind of like a movie vlog!"
The interviewer laughs lightly. "That's right! The viewers would love to hear what you have to say, so let's begin the Q and A!"
"Sounds fun!" Takemichi says excitedly. "Please, ask us what you want to know!"
"Alright! First question. How did you two meet?"
The two actors share a glance, and Nakano is the first to answer. "We met on the first day of the script reading for the Toman Arc. But little did we know, we were connected, in a way, before we even got to that reading."
"We were both on our way there, and we happened to be taking the same train, but we didn't know that," Takemichi continues. "I dropped my wallet on my way out, and I hadn't noticed."
"I found his wallet on my way out, so I picked it up and started looking around for the owner. But as you know, there's always a sea of people at the train station, so no luck. I opened it to look for a name, but nothing." Nakano glances at Takemichi with a look of teasing disappointment. "Not even a driver's license. No wonder you take the train."
Takemichi just chuckles as he shakes his head. "Shush! It's good for the environment!"
"Fine, fine," Nakano smiles back at the interviewer. "But yeah, I went to turn it in to the police station, and I ended up being ten minutes late to the reading."
"Hold on, I remember you bursting through the door, completely out of breath!" Takemichi laughs between his sentences. "You scared Manjiro so bad he fell out of his chair and his legs almost flipped the table!!"
"Oh yeah!" Nakano also bursts into a giggling fit. "It may not have flipped the table, but it spilled all the tea and coffee!! It spilled all over the scripts and we had to recopy all of them!!"
All three burst out into laugher at the funny memory, until a hand slams down on both of the actors' shoulders. "I thought we agree that weren't going to bring that up ever again."
Nakano and Takemichi glance over to see their co-star, Manjiro, looming over them with a glare in his eyes. But with his childish nature, it's difficult to take him seriously.
"Sorry, but not really." Takemichi pats his arm while still laughing. "It was hella funny!"
Manjiro flushes red, but lowers his head to hide it. "Urusai!! You two are mean!!"
"Pftahaha!" Nakano playfully pushes his hand off. "Go away, Jiro-chan! This is our interview!"
Manjiro huffs and puffs out his cheeks as he dramatically stomps away like a toddler who didn't get their way. The two actors continue to laugh at their co-star, even after he disappears into his trailer.
"Sorry about this," Nakano apologizes as she slowly regains her composure. "We'll continue on with the story."
"No worries! It sounds very funny!"
"It was!" Nakano grins. "So back to the story, I burst into the room, and I was apologizing for being late, all the while laughing at Manjiro who was laying on the ground with his soul just barely leave his body."
"Hey!!" Goes said actor's voice in the distance.
"Haha!! Sorry not sorry, Jiro-chan!!" Nakano laughs again, and so do Takemichi and the interviewer. "But anyway, Author-san threatened my role if I was late again. I still don't know if she was joking or not. While she went to reprint the scripts, I sat next to Takemichi, and we exchanged some greetings."
"I asked her why she was running late," Takemichi continues. "And she told me that someone dropped their wallet at the train station and she went to turn it in. I thought it was very nice of her. It was a good first impression."
"Awe, thank you," she smiles.
"Yeah!" Takemichi sends a smile her way as well. "We then found out that we play the Hanagaki Twins, and when the scripts were reprinted, the reading went on for about three hours. Nakano, Manjiro, Ken, Hinata, and Naoto all went out together to go grab some drinks before heading home. When I went to pay for mine, low and behold, my wallet was gone."
"I remember seeing the blood drain from your face, so I same over and asked what was wrong. When I heard that you didn't have your wallet, it clicked." Nakano chuckles a bit, and looks back towards the camera. "I paid for him, and we immediately went to the police station. We got the wallet back, and crisis averted. It was an interesting meeting, and now I keep tabs on where he puts his stuff."
"No you don't!!"
"I do. You just didn't know that until now. You're welcome. You still owe me $4.20 by the way."
Takemichi bashfully hangs his head. "Yeah, yeah."
"That was a very amusing story! Thank you for sharing. Now, onto the next question. Can you tell us a bit about your characters as of the Toman arc?"
"Who should we start with?" Nakano glances at Takemichi. "Actually you start. Save the best for last~"
"Pft, alright then." Takemichi rolls his eyes playfully at her. "Well, Takemichi has reached a low point in his life. Always messing up and apologizing. He's really pathetic and weak. He's always crying when he gets beat up after picking fights he obviously can't win. But even so, he does have a kind, but also brave heart. Going back to the past to save the one he cares about really proved that."
"As for Nakano, she's a killer, but not a cold blooded one. She only kills anyone she deems a threat, and at the beginning of the series, that's Toman. She's usually very cold and stone faced externally, but deep down, she's very caring. That's why she kills. To protect the one she cares about, that being Takemichi. It's excessive, yes, but that's because she thinks it's then only solution. She's definitely a very broken character, both in backstory and abilities."
"Alright! And for our final question. Where do you see your characters at the end of the series?"
"We'd better be alive!" Nakano and Takemichi share and glance and laugh together. "We don't know too-too much about our characters yet, since they still have some developing to do, along with the story."
"Yeah, I hope we're alive too," Takemichi nods and laughs nervously. "But I have a feeling a lot of people are going to die. I dunno, it's a gut feeling. Also, sometimes, I see Author-san in her office writing the script, and laughing to herself. Not a good laugh, no. There's an evil glint in her eyes when she laughs, I swear."
"She concerns me sometimes." Nakano shudders. "But don't take it the wrong way! She's a cool person, and really nice. She also takes care of us on set."
"In a way, she's kind of like our mom and our chaotic big sister," Takemichi adds, then looks into the camera. "Please don't kill me if you see this, Author-san."
The interviewer laughs. "I'm sure she'd like the nice things you've said about her. And I'm sure the viewers loved what they heard today! Thank you again for joining us, Nakano-san and Takemichi-san!"
"No problem!" The co-stars say in unison. "We hope you enjoy the rest of the story!!"
