It was Saturday, the 31st of May. We had only four days left of school. I ran outside into the treehouse, where I found Ethan reading some old books. Ethan is very smart for his age. He always has a book in hand.

"What are you reading?"

"A book I found in the attic. Mom said not to touch it, but I took it anyway. Please don't tell?"

"Okay. Can you tell me about it?"

"It has lots of old pictures of our treehouse. Look! There is Mary and Rose!" Mary and Rose are our other neighbors. They always make us treats and we always have picnics with them.

"Why would their picture be in here?" I asked standing up.

" I do not know!" We kept looking throughout the book. There were pictures of my parents with Izzy, (Isobel)'s parents. It was time for dinner, so we ran up to meet the rest of our neighbors for our Saturday cookout. Mary, Rose, the Wells ( Ethan and Izzy's family name) and our family, (The Blues) were sprawled across the back yard with country music playing softly in the back ground. Mary and Rose are older and very wealthy. Mary cooks while Rose gardens. They always make a very good salad!

"May we please eat in the treehouse Mama?" Ethan asked with droopy puppy dog eyes.

"Just wear bug spray. Have fun!" replied Mrs. Lydia, while playing with the dog. Luke and Isobel are in the same grade, so they are closer friends than the rest of us. They are apparently "to cool" to run down to the tree house anymore. Teenagers. Anyway, Ethan and I rolled down the hill so fast, we ran into each other.

After climbing the tough rope ladder, we were all four comfortably seated in the treehouse. The treehouse has lots of old pictures of us when we were all little, any art we made, a mini fridge, trashcans, and four beanbag chairs.

Once seated in the chairs, Ethan got the book out of his drawer and showed the LIVE group. There were lots of photographs of people we didn't even know! In each picture, the wooden letters on the side of the treehouse were different. For Mary and Rose's picture, they were probably in high school. The letters were M,O,R,E. "There is a pattern. If you look at each of the letters in all of the pictures, they each turn into a word. Mom and Dad's letters were L,O,V,E. Ours are L,I,V,E. This is a code." Luke muttered while skimming the pages. " Maybe it is like a secret message for us. Maybe we are special, like in the book I am reading." Ethan spoke with lots of excitement. "Sorry little dude, but that is 100% ridiculousness." Isobel said while reading over Luke's head. " Ethan came over to me and frowned. All I could do was pity him! They should give him some credit for imagination!

We decided to head back to the house, with the book. I took the book, knowing I was the most responsible.
