June 2, 2022: Trooping The Colour

Claudine greeted her cousins and their children before introducing Harry and Meghan to Florestan.

Meghan complimented Claudine's coat dress.

Claudine is wearing a mint green coat dress by Catherine Walker paired with nude Jimmy Choo heels and Juliette Millinery headband.

"Thank you, Meghan, you look beautiful as well," Claudine said.

Trooping the Colour is one of the biggest events for the royal family every year, because it's one of the few occasions where all of the members of the Mountbatten-Windsor family — even the children — appear in public.

Claudine walks over to Beatrice who is looking out the window with the George, Charlotte, Louis and Mia and leans over and kissed her cheek.

This moment is captured by a woman who posted it to her Instagram and it went viral. Claudine is now trending on social media.

Since most of the family won't be appearing on the balcony to watch the fly-past by the Royal Air Force as The Palace announced on May 6 that balcony appearances would be limited to Her Majesty and those Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen.

They will be watching it from the roof of St James's Palace.

"Are you doing well?" Beatrice asked Claudine.

"A little anxious for Florestan to be on the balcony," Claudine answered.

"He'll do fine," Beatrice said as they continued to watch over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together each June in a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare to mark The Queen's official birthday.

Then a staff calls on all of Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen to get ready to get in the carriages.

Claudine, Florestan, Maurice, Šarlote, Christiaan and Heria are in the carriage before Princess Alexandra, Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester and Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, the Queen's first cousin, the son of her uncle Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, as there are certain protocols when it comes to major events like this one so senior royals will arrive according to the line succession.

The streets are lined with crowds waving flags as the parade moves from Buckingham Palace and down The Mall to Horse Guard's Parade, alongside Members of the Royal Family on horseback and in carriages.

During the ceremony, The Queen is greeted by a Royal salute and carries out an inspection of the troops. After the massed bands have performed a musical 'troop', the escorted Regimental Colour is carried down the ranks. The Foot Guards and the Household Cavalry then march past Her Majesty, and The King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, rank past.

The Queen rides in a carriage back to Buckingham Palace at the head of her Guards, before taking the salute at the Palace from a dais. The troops then return to barracks.

Her Majesty then joins other members of the Royal Family on the palace balcony for a fly-past by the Royal Air Force.

The display closes with an RAF fly-past, watched by Members of the Royal Family from Buckingham Palace balcony.
