5:
A couple of days passed and a particular one, Lin Fan found herself inside Keran's office as they ate the food she made for lunch. It was nothing grand but still special. Packed into a metal container were rice, soup and stir-fired chicken with potatoes and tofu.
"Hello people! I grace you all!"
The calm atmosphere was shattered as Naiwan came through the door. A wide grin stretched her lips as she sauntered into the room and sat uninvited to one of the sofas. Her cheeriness could not be said the same about Keran as the girl looked at her with furrowed brows.
"I thought you'll stop bothering me once I go out with Chen Yiwen?" She questioned with a raised brow.
"Oh, stop being so assuming." Naiwan scoffed and rolled her eyes. "I'll have you know that I stick well to promises I make."
"What brought you here, then? Do you wanna join us for lunch?" Lin Fan asked and Keran turned to her, lips jutted out into a pout. Why does Lin Fan have to be so kind?
"No, thanks. I'm on a diet and I don't want to feel more single than I already am." Naiwan answered nonchalantly before she leaned forward on her seat. Her face now bearing pure excitement. "But I do have some juicy news." She said and wiggled her brows.
Lin Fan and Keran looked at each other before shrugging. "What is it?" Lin Fan asked before continuing to eat.
"A little birdy told me that Yu Yan is dating someone from down the street." Naiwan revealed with a smirk.
The other two paused in their seats. "Really?" Keran muttered, eyes wide with disbelief and Naiwan only nodded, understanding the shock. "Holy shit."
"Holy shit is right." Lin Fan copied. "Quick, tell us more!" She then said and gestured for Naiwan to continue talking.
Turns out, Yu Yan is now dating the owner of a café down town. Xie Keyin. Nothing besides that could really be said. Considering that Naiwan just accidentally caught them and Yu Yan has yet to tell them anything.
"Well, that's... something." Keran commented as Naiwan finally finished.
"I know right? Just don't let her know we already know." The other girl answered. "Anyway... Lin Fan, I have the perfect date for you." She suddenly said, making both Lin Fan and Keran choke on their drinks.
Now that Naiwan seems to leave Keran alone and not bother her with blind dates, Lin Fan is now her next target. Lin Fan cleared her throat and wiped at her mouth as she tried to gather up her mind. She did not know how to respond to that sudden statement.
"It's Liu Lingzi! I reckon since you're a photographer and she is a model, the two of you would instantly click." Naiwan said again.
"Why are you suddenly setting me up now?" Lin Fan asked instead.
"Duh! Because I failed at trying with Keran. Now it's time for phase number two."
"You know, why don't you just quit being a rapper and be a matchmaker instead?" Keran spoke up. Her tone dripping with sarcasm as she gave the girl the stank eyes. "Better yet, find a match for yourself so you'll stop bothering other people."
"Oh, leave me alone." Naiwan shrugged, not taking any offense to the girl's words, being used to it all. " Besides, I'm setting Lin Fan up, not you. Quit meddling."
"Excuse you, I could meddle! I'm her best friend." Keran reminded as if she had not made it clear enough by how much she says it.
"Tsk, Lu Keran! Lin Fan can make her own decisions." Naiwan pointed out before she turned to Lin Fan. "So, what do you say? Saturday, ten in the morning."
