I went into the police car and Alex was right next to me the whole time. He didn't say anything while the police guy was talking to us.

"Now you two will be coming with me and will be giving a statement about what happened, also for now because I'm in charge of you, call me rob"

"Ok"

I didn't really want to say anything to him either but I have to stay strong, for Alex. He is only 12 he shouldn't be dealing with this but this has happened before when dad was still with us, when Alex was just young and didn't know anything he was only 3 months old.

My mom tried to kill herself a long time ago, because of the stress of taking care of 3 kids by herself. She knew dad was going to leave and he did after she got better. After she was happy, he left all of us and Alex was only 2.

We got into the station and saw Jackson waiting in a chair, he had 2 officers next to him.

"Jackson"

Alex yelled out, he ran towards Jack and a police officer stopped him and started talking to him, Alex started balling his eyes out and hugged the man, he picked him up and took him to a seat next to me.

"Sir what did you tell him, he rarely cries anymore"

"Nothing important to you, just know he is ok"

I looked at Alex who was curled up into a ball still crying, I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him closer to me, I could just sense something bad was gonna happen to my mom.

I saw Jackson go into the irrigation interview room, he was still in hand cuffs. It looked like it was hurting him. Badly, but I can't say anything because it's not my call it's there's.

A older guy who looks like he could kill someone walked into the room as-well, next thing I heard was screaming but not my brothers, the old guy is the one screaming saying "what happened" and "stop lying to me" then it got quiet.

"Rob, why was the guy screaming, why?"

"He screams to everyone that is a suspect, to let them know that he means business and not any funny business is gonna happen"

"But Jackson is only 17 he knows that it isn't time to joke around, shouldn't everyone know that?"

"I don't understand why he does it, all of us think he gets out of hand, he only talks to the people under 18, and he wants to make sure they know they have to tell the truth. Even if it means it scares the kids to death"

I sat in my chair uncomfortable knowing I will be yelled like that too. And knowing Alex will too, maybe I can ask if we can both go in together. I doubt they would though.

After 30 minutes or so went by Jackson left the room, his face was pale like a ghost, the old man pointed to a seat and Jackson sat down. I looked over at Jackson and he gave me a face that I knew was bad.
