Sunnyvale High Parking Lot
______________________________________Most cars had already been driven home after the school day, but Marcus's Ferrari Testarossa was still present.
Faculty cars parked by the building were absolutely destroyed due to the fire and explosions. Marcus had parked far from the building today and luck was in the crew's favor.
Brooke whistles as the expensive red car ahead of her. "Okay, richie rich. How'd you afford that?"
Marcus huffs to himself. "My parents paid for half and I paid for half. I have a job, y'know?" Everyone loads into the vehicle. "Where do you work?" Margot asks with a smile.
"Tape World."
Jett nods. It sorta made sense to him. He's constantly wearing headphones so he obviously must have a love for music. He thought.
Margot sighs with a grin. "I always imagined you working at a sports store or something. Maybe the gym."
Marcus starts the car while shooting a weirded out look to Jett in the passenger seat. Jett laughs to himself at Margot's fan-girling.
"I actually work across from that store." Jett states while buckling his seatbelt. Marcus speeds out of the lot with ease. "Yeah? Where?"
"Family Video."
"Now that makes sense! Dream job for a teen obsessed with film, right?" Bell smiles as her backpack screeches. Everyone notices and groans.
"Is that thing gonna be loud this whole time?" Marcus complains. Brooke glances at the bag. "Maybe she's hungry."
"She?" Margot questions. "How do you know it's a she?"
Brooke shrugs. "Well we didn't exactly see a dick on it." This statement causes Marcus to cackle as he merges onto a highway.
"What should we name her?" Bell asks. Jett shakes his head. "You shouldn't name her. People tend to get more attached to things they name. You guys will be devastated when we give her to the cops."
"How about Willow?" Margot ignores Jett's statement. Brooke shakes her head. "That's too cute. We have to name her something that applies to her."
"Slime?" Jett mumbles, remembering the residue all over the creature's body. The girls in the back roll their eyes at his suggestion.
They continue to banter until Marcus groans. "How about we name her Blue because she's blue?"
Everyone is silent for a moment. "That's... such a good idea Marc!" Margot gushes while squeezing the driver's arm. Marcus rolls his eyes. "It's Marcus. Just Marcus."
It was pretty clear Marcus was quite annoyed with the girl's behavior, ever since they first started filming.
The group drives for awhile before the sky grows pretty dark. "It's getting late.." Jett mumbles.
"How far is Fisherman's Wharf anyway?" Brooke questions. Marcus sighs. "It's only forty five minutes from Sunnyvale. An hour tops. We have about thirty minutes to go."
The group lets out relieved sighs. The car is pretty silent for the rest of the ride before Marcus suddenly slams on the breaks with a gasp. This snaps everyone's heads towards the him.
"Holy shit! What happened?" Bell huffs. Marcus stays silent before scarcely looking back at the girls, then to Jett. "Look. On. The. Road."
