and that's it folks. when i began writing these all in the notes of my phone seven-ish years ago, i knew that poetry was something that made me feel so fulfilled and i just couldn't stop writing. so with that, i'll leave you with my closing remarks that i made before even starting this book. thank you so much for reading :)

"i believe we all have a responsibility to use our voice to make a difference." - a.g.
i feel in my life, it is my responsibility to use my voice and words to make these poems and talk about things that matter to me.
without writing i wouldn't have the voice i have. i would have no where to speak (write) my mind. i would only bottle up thoughts and they would never have a possibility to make a difference.
i wanted this book to make a difference in someone's life. i wanted to talk about topics that many people want to talk about, yet can't find the words to explain. i tried to put thoughts into words.
i feel it was my responsibility to further my writing skill and explore poetry, which is something i've come to love. i hope i could have sparked some interests in you too.
now that this book is over, i want to take some of the things i've written to help me expand with other things i will write. i also want to use this book as a stepping stone to make my voice be heard, to make that difference in the world.
i want to use my voice and power to show love and light. i want my voice to bring joy to someone who has fallen. i want to be there for someone when they need it.
and also if you haven't noticed, take a look at the chapter titles. together they make a poem themselves. i thought it would kind of cool to have a poem inside each part of a larger poem.
before i go, shoutout to my friend vinylsinnewyork . she helped me with ideas and supported me through out this whole book and i honestly couldn't have done it without you. so thank you, maura.
i sincerely hope you've enjoyed this book and i hope i've made a difference in your life.
madison.
